The energy structure is dominated by coal in China,the flue gas produced by coal combustion which contains sulfur dioxide,nitrogen oxides,etc.,causing serious pollution to the environment.At present,the wet desulfurization is very mature technology which has been used in the flue gas desulfurization,but its process has some drawbacks,such as high investment,and solid waste pollution.Semi-coke has rich pore structure,good adsorption performance,and low price.The semi-coke adsorption performance can be greatly improved by activated modification.Therefore,it is important to develop a semi-coke adsorbent with high desulfurization efficiency and excellent performanceOn the basis of the preliminary research in our laboratory,the second metal composite modification of the potassium-based and manganese-based semi-coke was carried out respectively.The binary metal-based Semi-coke K4Cu2-600 was obtained by complex copper component based on the semi-coke modified by metal potassium,the K4Cu2-600 semi-coke adsorbent is of good properties.The adsorbent has high desulfurization activity,when the SO2 removal efficiency is more than 90%in the simulated flue gas,the breakthrough time and breakthrough sulfur capacity are 246 min,72.5 mg·g-1,respectively.At the same time,the adsorbent has excellent cycle regeneration performance,and the optimum regenerationtemperature is 600?.After ten regeneration cycles,the adsorbent still retains 70%desulfurization activity compared with the original fresh adsorbent.During the desulfurization process,SO2 is oxidized and reacted with active components of the adsorbent,the desulfurization products is coated on the surface of the adsorbent in the form of sulfuric acid and sulfate resulting in deactivation itself.During the regeneration process,S6+is mainly convertied to sulfur and partially discharged as SO2.In the study on modification of Manganese-based semi-coke,the performance of the M7F1 adsorbent is of relatively good properties.the breakthrough time and breakthrough sulfur capacity are 180 min and 53.2 mg·g-1,respectively.After four regeneration cycles,the adsorbent is only of 70%desulfurization activity in comparison with the original fresh adsorbent.The research results show that the K4Cu2-600 adsorbent is a good desulfurizer with nice desulfurization performance and high recycling efficiency.It has practical application value in desulfurization under actual working conditions.
