In recent years,under the background of rapid development of national economy and increasing production efficiency,the market demand for diesel engines used in mining vehicles has shown a trend of large scale,high reliability and durability.At present,the diesel engine market for large harvesters is mainly monopolized by foreign brands such as Cummins QSK60/78 series,MTU4000 series and CAT3500 series,so it is urgent to develop a domestic diesel engine with high speed and high power that has international competitiveness.Crankshaft is the core component that affects the overhaul period of engine.With the continuous improvement of the strengthening degree index of diesel engine used in large harvesters,the reliability and durability of crankshaft become particularly important.In particular,its special operating conditions,large harvesters engine overhaul cycle requirements above 20000h.When making large car diesel engine development,therefore,need to combine harvesters,specific conditions to targeted reinforcement design of crankshaft,at the same time with the help of simulation software,the strength of the crankshaft and shafting torsional vibration and the bearing load for precise simulation evaluation,with the help of a durable after examination and other means of verifying the rationality of the design,validation,finally,relying on the market for bench test reliability and durability of the assessment of the problem further full assessment,and timely make optimization design improvements,to eventually develop finalize the design could satisfy the requirement of large car use,a diesel engine.Based on the development of a large mining car diesel engine project in Weichai,the crankshaft system is designed and developed.The basic dimension of the crankshaft is determined according to the bidding products and the early design experience.At the same time,combined with the special reliability requirements and special working conditions of the mine engine,the crankshaft is designed to be strengthened.Afterwards,EXCITE Designer,Power Unit and other simulation software were used to comprehensively calculate,analyze and evaluate torsional vibration,bearing capacity and strength of crankshaft.After that,the strength and torsion amplitude of the crankshaft were preliminarily verified through fatigue test and bench endurance test,and timely optimization design was carried out for the prominent faults of the crankshaft system.Finally relying on market customer resources to carry out targeted market matching verification,further verify the rationality of crankshaft design.The research work in this paper provides experience for enterprises to further improve crankshaft design specifications and enrich crankshaft database.
