A Case Study Of Municipal Solid Waste Management In Beijing Based On Based On Life Cycle Perspective

With the economic development and population growth,the production of municipal solid waste in Beijing is increasing rapidly year by year,which not only challenges the living space and environment of the city,but also affects the life,work and health of the citizens.Therefore,the reduction and recycling of municipal solid waste and the prevention of secondary pollution incidents have become the top priority to ensure the management of municipal solid waste in Beijing.Municipal solid waste management is not only an engineering,environmental and regulatory issue,but also a public governance issue.Especially in Beijing's urbanization process and the construction of modern domestic waste management mode,the "publicity" of domestic waste management is more prominent.Based on the theory of life cycle,combined with domestic and foreign treatment experience and the current situation of Beijing municipal solid waste,this paper puts forward specific countermeasures and suggestions around the problems of whether municipal solid waste is waste or resources,low classification rate of municipal solid waste source,poor end treatment.By using the life cycle management model,the results show that:(1)the ecological efficiency of domestic waste composting and incineration is better than that of landfill;(2)The higher the source separation rate of domestic waste,the higher the ecological efficiency;(3)In the short term,the municipal solid waste in Beijing will be treated by composting and incineration,and the proportion of landfill will be gradually reduced.In the medium term,the measures with incineration as the main and compost as the auxiliary are helpful to reduce and recycle domestic waste and realize zero landfill of primary waste.In the long run,the measures of zero landfill of primary waste,composting as the main and incineration as the auxiliary will help reduce and recycle domestic waste.Let the municipal solid waste be treated as a sustainable development resource,which can effectively establish the treatment concept,regulations and system of harmless,reduction and recycling of municipal solid waste from the top-level design.Strengthen the source classification publicity of municipal solid waste,guide residents,reward residents and supervise residents through green armband volunteers,deepen residents' awareness of source classification of municipal solid waste,and steadily promote the effective implementation of source classification of municipal solid waste.The joint participation of the government,enterprises and individuals can complement the short board of government management,extend the service links of enterprises,and enhance residents' awareness of classification,thus realizing the innovation of the whole life cycle management mode of municipal solid waste.
