Traditional plastics bring convenience to people,but also make unimaginable troubles.Some discarded plastics will not degrade under natural conditions,and combustion will release harmful gases,causing unsafe pollution to the ecological environment.From an environmentally friendly point of view,the advantages of biodegradable plastics are obvious.There have been many studies on polybutylene succinate in recent years.As a new biodegradable material,polybutylene succinate has a low processing temperature and a decomposition temperature of 300?,which is likely to replace the traditional polymer.So far,the application of polybutylene succinate has focused on packaging,tableware,and pharmaceutical bottles.With the continuous expansion of the application of biomaterials,polybutylene succinate has been gradually developed and applied in the fields of electronic appliances,rail transit,etc.Therefore,improving the flame retardancy of PBS is the focus of work.Improving the flame retardancy of materials is generally divided into two types:additive type and reactive type.Additive type flame retardant is usually a small molecule flame retardant,which is added in a large amount and is easy to be precipitated.Therefore,reactive flame retardant is the focus of research.In this paper,phenyl dichlorophosphate was reacted with butanediol and succinic acid to prepare PPBS,which was melt blended with PBS to improve the flame retardancy of PBS.By adding certain compatibilizers and toughening agents,the flame retardancy of PBS is improved while maintaining certain mechanical properties.The structure of PPBS was characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NMR,31P NMR).The effect on the crystallization properties,thermal stability,crystal morphology;flame retardancy and mechanical properties of the PBS matrix was detected by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),thermogravimetric analyzer(TG),polarized light microscope(POM),limiting oxygen index(LOI)and tensile machine.Part ?:two kinds of PPBS were synthesized by two different methods,which were melt blended with PBS and characterized.Comparing the results,the synthesis method of PPBS with better performance was obtained,and a series of flame retardant PBS was prepared with different addition amounts.Part ?:Different amounts of PEG400 was added to increase the mechanical properties of the material while fixing the amount of PPBS added.After adjusting the ratio of PEG400 and PPBS,the effect of the addition of IPDI on the flame retardancy of PBS was explored;Flame retardant PBS was obtained by adding different content of glycerol and the effect of glycerol on material properties was investigated.Part ?:A series of flame retardant PBSs were prepared by melt blending a commercial flame retardant DOPO-HQ with PBS.And the influence of HQ on flame retardancy of PBS was discussed.The results show that the flame retardancy effect of PPBS is better which was prepared by adding phenyl dichlorophosphate after the completion of polycondensation,but the addition of PPBS decreased the mechanical properties of PBS,improved the crystallinity and changed the crystal morphology.The addition of PEG400 increased the elongation at break of the FRPBS to become tougher,and the LOI was more than 30;the crystalline decreased and the crystal size became smaller.With appropriate increasing in the content of compatibilizer(IPDI),the material elongation was increased,but the amount should not be too high.Adding glycerin to the system severely destroys the material but the LOI value is still more than 30.The addition of commercial flame retardant HQ improved the crystalline and thermal stability of the material.When 4%HQ is added,the LOI value of the material reaches 30 or more,and the flame retardant property is improved.
