Metal organic complexes and supramolecular compounds are more and more widely used in various fields in today's society,especially they can be used in adsorption,catalysis,optics,magnetism and other fields as a kind of materials with novel structure and good function.Organic ligands play a key role in the synthesis of complexes and supramolecular compounds.It is difficult in the study of coordination chemistry and supramolecular chemistry to obtain the expected complexes by self-assembly of different organic ligands with metal ionsIn this paper,12 coordination compounds have been synthesized with benzene-1,2-bis(methylenebenzimidazole)ligand(L1)(Among them,7-12 have introduced carboxylic acid auxiliary ligands):[Zn L1 Br2]·(CH3OH)2(1),[Zn L1 I2]·CH3OH(2),[Cd L1 Br2]·(CH3OH)2](3),[Zn L1(SCN)2]·CH3OH(4),[Cd L1 Cl2]2(5),[Cu2(L1)2(CH3OH)2]·(NO3)2(6),[Cd2 L1(SCN)2(C6H8O4)(CH3OH)2]·CH3OH(7),[Cd L1(C3H2O4)2]·CH3OH·H2O(8),[Cd L1(C3H2O4)2(SCN)](9),[Cd L1(C6H9 O4)]·CH3CH2OH(10),[ZnLl(C9H5O6)2](11)and[Zn L1(C10H8O4)2]·CH3OH(12),X-ray single crystal diffraction show that compounds 1-4 are mononuclear,compounds 5-7 are dimeric,and 8-12 are one-dimensional chainIn addition,five supramolecular compounds were synthesized by using trivalent cation 1,3,5-tri(triethylamine methylene)-benzene(L2)as template:{L2[Hg2I7]}(13),{L2[Cd2Br7]·(DMF)2}(14),{L2[Ag2I5]}(15),{(L2)4[Ag26Br38]}(16)and {(L2)4 Cu26Br38]}(17).The results show that 13-15 are binuclear structure,16 and 17 have highly symmetrical cage structureThe structures and properties of these compounds were studied by various characterization methods.The semiconductor band gap,adsorption,photocatalysis(compounds 1,7 and 10),fluorescence(compounds 1,7,10,16 and 17)and the application of compounds 1,7 and 10 in fluorescence recognition of metal ions were studied.The results show that compounds 4,7,13 and 17 have better adsorption effect on MB(Methylene Blue),compounds 2,4,6,8,9,10 and 17 have better adsorption effect on MO(Methyl Orange),and the adsorption effect of compound 17 on MO is 93.49%,and compound 17 has the largest adsorption rate at 50? and could be repeatedly used for MO adsorption.Compounds 5,9,11 and 12 have better adsorption effect on RhB(Rhodamine B).Compounds 1,7 and 10 have obvious fluorescence recognition effect on Fe3+.Compounds 1,7 and 10 have high stability in different pH.
