Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,different departments have carried out a great deal of research and implementation of ecological restoration projects in the aspects of greening the barren mountains,keeping water and soil,controlling the mine ecological environment and geological disasters,restoring the water system and so on.However,with the increasing pressure on population,resources and environment,coupled with the restriction of the system and mechanism of ecological restoration,the lack of the concept that land space is an ecosystem,the trend that leads to the decline of ecosystem function is difficult to reverse fundamentally.The study area is located at the junction of the national ecological security pattern"Loess Plateau-Sichuan-Yunnan Ecological Screen"and"Northern Sand Prevention Belt",the birthplace of Fenhe River in Shanxi Province.There are mountains,rivers,forests,farmlands,lakes and grasses.For a long time,the ecological resources in the study area have been seriously threatened by the shortage of water resources,coal mining and soil erosion,and the fragile ecological environment has also led to the increase of regional poverty,which in turn affects the quality of regional ecological environment and forms a vicious circle.Therefore,it is very important to carry out ecological restoration in this area.The results and conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)In this study,89 small watersheds were identified as the units of ecological function zoning,and then the Invest model was used to evaluate the importance of water conservation,soil and water conservation,biodiversity and food supply.The results of ecological function zoning were obtained according to the dominant function.There are five ecological functional areas:key town groups,water conservation areas,soil and water conservation areas,biodiversity reserves,agro-forestry-animal husbandry compound ecological area.(2)On the basis of ecological function zoning,this study divides 13 types of ecological communities as the basic units of ecological restoration zones.Through the analysis of the ecological functions of different ecological communities,ecological restoration areas are divided.According to the results of ecological restoration zoning,the comprehensive remediation area of agricultural land accounts for the largest area,reaching 1087.49 km~2,accounting for 27.31%of the total area of the study area;the area of comprehensive remediation of mine ecological environment is the smallest,which is 20.47km~2,accounting for 0.51%of the total area of the study area.(3)According to the zoning results of the ecological restoration,it is divided into25 project areas,including 10 in Ningwu County and 15 in Jingle County.Based on the ecological function zoning and ecological restoration zoning of the study area,7 major categories and 14 small categories of projects are deployed in each project area.Finally,it is put forward that the project management mechanism of ecological restoration includes innovating the gully management model,strengthening organizational leadership and implementation of subject responsibility,establishing standard system,and diversified investment mechanism,and promoting technological innovation.
