China is the country with the largest number of meat ducks in the world,so the meat ducks breeding industry on such a large scale will inevitably produce a lot of fecal pollution.With the greater efforts to protect the environment,it is urgent to realize the resource treatment and utilization of the fecal waste from the scale breeding of meat ducks.Heterotopic fermentation bed technology is a kind of pollution-free and zero emission organic agricultural technology,which uses microbial fermentation to treat livestock and poultry manure.It is one of the current research hotspots in the field of environmental protection.At present,there are many studies on the treatment of pig and cow manure in ectopic fermentation bed,but there is no relevant experimental research on its application in the treatment of meat duck manure.It is difficult to estimate the resource treatment parameters of the ectopic fermentation bed because of the unknown characteristics of the meat duck manure.At the same time,in the practical application of ectopic fermentation bed,the “dead bed” is easily caused by the difficulty of water distribution,lack of heat storage capacity and insufficient ventilation and oxygen supply.The purpose of this study is to apply the ventilation technology to the improvement of ectopic fermentation bed in order to improve the treatment effect of meat duck manure.Firstly,the purpose of this paper is to explore the manure production situation of meat duck,to analyze the feasibility of using ectopic fermentation bed to treat meat duck manure and to provide data support for the design of its treatment parameters.Experiments were carried out on the characteristics of manure production of meat duck in four seasons.The average manure quantity production of the meat duck was 314.7 g?d-1?head-1(37 days old)was obtained.And due to the high water content,high organic matter content and a large amount of nutrients excreted every day,it provides a basis for the necessity of using ectopic fermentation bed to treat the manure of meat duck.Then,in order to preliminarily determine the process parameters of treating meat duck manure in ectopic fermentation bed,analyze the problems in operation,and provide the direction and basis for improving the ectopic fermentation bed.A preliminary experiment was carried out to treat the manure of meat duck by ectopic fermentation bed,and the process parameters are obtained preliminarily.The results show that the ectopic fermentation bed technology is feasible for the treatment of meat duck manure and can be used as a resource treatment model.At the same time,it is found that there were problems such as low oxygen concentration at the bottom of the heap material,temperature susceptible to the influence of the weather and low treatment capacity per unit area,and it is urgent to add the thickness of material,increase oxygen supply.Furthermore,in order to solve the problem of insufficient ventilation and oxygen supply of deep heap materials in the operation of ectopic fermentation bed,the ectopic fermentation bed was improved to achieve better and more efficient treatment effect.In this study,an ectopic fermentation bed was designed,which could be ventilated mechanically from the bottom of the ectopic fermentation bed.The air distribution simulation of 0.1 m3?m-3?min-1 mechanical ventilation was carried out on the device,and the results showed that the device could be used as an experimental device for ventilation treatment of ectopic fermentation bed.However,in order to improve the air supply mode and optimize the air uniformity,it is necessary to supply air through the pipeline,increase the aperture of the intermediate baffle for practical production.Finally,to explore the effect of increasing mechanical ventilation on the fermentation effect of ectopic fermentation bed treatment of meat duck manure,highlight the necessity and advantages of ventilation.The control test of ventilation of ectopic fermentation bed treat meat duck manure was carried out.The results show that ventilation is not only helpful to slow down the decrease of oxygen concentration,but also beneficial to the accumulation of nutrients and the conversion of manure into better organic fertilizer.Therefore,ventilation from the bottom of the ectopic fermentation bed is helpful to solve the problem of insufficient oxygen in the deep layer of the fermentation bed,and also provides a possibility to increase the thickness of the bedding.
