| With the development of manufacturing industries such as aerospace,aerospace and automobiles,more and more new materials(composites,titanium alloys,nickel-based alloys,etc.)have emerged,most of which are difficult to process materials.Traditional cutting tools are difficult to process these materials.Solid carbide end mills have good cutting performance and high surface machining accuracy,so they are used for machining these difficult-to-machine materials.However,due to the complicated structure and various types of end mills,the carbide end mills in our country now mostly rely on foreign grinding software.In order to make up for the shortage of the carbide end mill grinding software in China,this subject,with the support of National Science and Technology Major Project(2018ZX04041001)and in cooperation with Zhuzhou Diamond Cutting Tool Co.,Ltd.,the largest hard alloy end mill manufacturer in China,has carried out research on the following contents:Solid carbide end mill grinding model.According to the relative movement trajectory of the grinding wheel and the bar material during the grinding process,the mathematical model of the grinding is established for different characteristics of the end mill.The peripheral edge feature of the end mill is formed by the spiral motion of the grinding wheel,so the relative position of the grinding wheel and the bar at any point on the end mill edge is constant.Based on this invariance,the grinding model of the spiral groove and the circumferential flank face is established in the natural axis coordinate system,namely the grinding wheel end face normal vector and the central coordinate equation.Because the grinding track of the grinding wheel during the end edge feature processing is usually a spatial straight line or a circular arc,the position of the grinding wheel during the whole machining process can be derived by the position of the grinding wheel in a special position.In this paper,the end grinding feature grinding model of the end mill is established by this method.Universal post-processing of a five-axis tool grinder.By analyzing the structure of two types of five-axis tool grinding machines(P-type grinding wheel translational grinding machine and B-type grinding wheel oscillating grinding machine),a virtual model of a universal five-axis tool grinding machine was established.By solving the machine model motion creation function,a general post-processing algorithm can be obtained,by which the posture of the grinding wheel can be converted into the movement amount of each axis of the machine.Grinding process software development.In order to meet the needs of the design and processing of solid carbide end mills,this paper developed a solid carbide end mill grinding process software based on VS+Qt+MATLAB,which realized the integration from tool design to NC program generation.In order to verify the correctness of the end mill grinding model and the general post processing algorithm and the practicality of the grinding process software.In this paper,an example of a flat end mill grinding model is established.The tool position file and NC program of the machining process are generated in the grinding software,and the parametric modeling and grinding wheel tool path verification are realized by the software expansion module.Finally,the KToolG3515 five-axis tool grinding machine model used by Zhuzhou Diamond Cutting Tool Co.,Ltd.was established in VERICUT,and the machine model verified the correctness of the post-processing algorithm and NC program. |
