The Research On The Application Of Chinese Traditional Fish Pattern In Jewelry Design Based On The Art Deco

With the modern civilization,the development of material civilization constantly promotes the spiritual civilization,more and more consumers gradually shift their focus from material consumption to cultural consumption.Chinese traditional ethnic ornamentation is not only the historical heritage,but also is the valuable wealth which has a tenacious vitality.It shares the features of both historical and modern,and it will inevitably affect our future.Fish pattern art is not only a decorative symbol,it also reflects the humanistic values.It is a Chinese specific symbol that had formed in the long-term social life,its value orientation deeply affects the life of the Chinese people.Under this circumstance,the fish pattern designs which have the meanings of"traditional" and "auspicious" will be widely recognized and applied by modern consumers.Art Deco Movement as a movement of design style,it takes art as the form of expression,it absorbs many elements of various art styles.Regardless of the color or shape,its gist is to show the memory of the past or the imagination of the future.By combining the refined traditional Chinese fish pattern with the design expression techniques based on Deco Art Movement,the traditional Chinese fish pattern is endowed with brand new artistic visual effect and unique aesthetic taste.This article conducts an innovative design practice based on the research of art history and design perspective.The first part is the general introduction,it explains the background,purpose and significance of this research.It also includes the analysis and summary of similar researches that are finished by domestic and foreign scholars,striving to make practical theoretical innovation for the application of traditional fish pattern in jewelry design.The second part mainly sorts out all kinds of artistic images of traditional fish patterns and explores the artistic expression forms of jewelry design in the Deco Art Movement,so as to lay a solid theoretical foundation for the combining application of traditional fish patterns and decorative art in jewelry design.The third part extracts the artistic features through analyzing Chinese traditional fish pattern,I will carry on the innovative experiment on the Chinese traditional fish patterns with a style of Art Deco Movement technique from the sense of modeling and cultural connotation.The fourth part is to combine theory with practice.Try to put the fish patterns into jewelry design and do some innovative practices from the design language,artistic image and the practical requirement.Finally,I will finish a series of unique structure modeling and visual effects of jewelry design.Through combining traditional fish pattern with Art Deco Movement technique used in jewelry design,analyzing a large number of cases,integration of theories and design practices,I have a better grasp of the modeling of traditional patterns in modern jewelry design,which reflects the feasibility of the combination of traditional Chinese patterns and foreign cultures.
