In recent years, medicine and food homologous products have gained worldwide popularity for their functions of promoting health and adjuvant therapy. The quality of products from different regions varies. With the increasing market demand for medicinal and food homogeneous products, the interests of producers are driven, and the geographic authenticity of their products cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, the establishment of a scientific, stable and systematic origin tracing system can effectively promote the healthy growth. In this study, maca?Lepidium meyenii Walp.?and gegen?Puerariae thomsonii Radix,PTR?and Pueraria Lobata?Wild?Ohwi?PLR?were used as the research objects. The contents of mineral elements, the isotope ratios and spectrum of samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry?ICP-MS?,elemental analyzer-isotope ratio mass spectrometer?EA-IRMS?and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, respectively, which samples from different regional scales and belong to different planting methods.Data were analyzed by using analysis of variance,T test, multiple comparisons, principal component analysis, discriminant analysis and other methods. The fingerprint differences of samples from different geographical scales and different planting methods, and their feasibility and validation for tracing the geographical origin of medicine and food homogeneous products were analyzed. The accuracy of mineral elemental fingerprints, stable isotopic fingerprints, and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy for gegen?PTR and PLR?from the same region in different planting methods were analyzed.Clarifying the correlation between different traceability indicators and soils, and water sources. Finally, effective indicators for the geographical origin of maca and gegen were selected, and discriminative models were established, which providing supports for the geographical origin traceability technology system of the medicine and food homologous products. The main conclusions are as follows:?1?Different technologies have different effects on the traceability of medicine and food homologous products at different regional scales. For samples of large-scale regions?different countries?,stable isotopic fingerprints, mineral elemental fingerprints, and FTIR all have good identification effects, and the overall correct discrimination rate is higher than 95%.For samples of small-scale regions?different provinces?,the identification effect of mineral elemental fingerprints on their geographical origin was better than that the other two identification technologies alone, and the overall correct discrimination rate is higher than 80%.?2?Different traceability technologies have different effects in identifying medicine and food homogeneous products with different planting methods from the same region. The correct discrimination rate was FTIR?96.9%??mineral elemental fingerprint?92.2%??stable isotopic fingerprint?73.4%?.?3?Rb,Sr,Ti,Mo,and As in the soil were significantly related to the corresponding index values of the medicine and food homogeneous products.?2H and?18O in the water source have a certain correlation with the medicine and food homologous products and showed a certain latitude effect, that is,the values decreased with the increase of latitude.?4?The fusion of multi-technologies had significantly improved the accuracy of the geographical origin discrimination of medicine and food homologous products. The mineral elemental fingerprint plays an important role in fusion.
