Epoxy resin(EP)has poor toughness and flame retardant properties.In order to improve the performance of epoxy resin,cellulose of soybean dregs(SDF)is extracted from soybean dregs(SD)and passed through N-(?-aminoethyl)-?-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane(KH-792)and octadecyl isocyanate modified SDF to produce KH-SDF and ISDF,respectively added to EP.The mechanical properties,thermal stability and curing kinetics of the composite materials of each system are studied.Finally,ammonium polyphosphate(APP)is added to the composite material to explore the mechanical properties,thermal stability,curing kinetics and flame retardant properties of the composite material.The research results are as follows:(1)The extracted SDF removes part of the protein and fat in the SD,and the surface is smoother and exhibits more excellent thermal stability.The addition of 10% SDF makes the mechanical properties of the composite material improved and the thermal stability is enhanced.10% KH-SDF further improves the mechanical properties and thermal stability of EP.The impact section becomes rough,the number of folds is increased and the direction is irregular.SDF and EP have better interface performance.The reaction order of each system is not an integer.The curing reaction is relatively complicated.(2)Chemical modification does not change the crystal structure and mechanical properties of SDF.ISDF has good compatibility with EP matrix.After adding ISDF,the thermal stability of the composite material is improved and the SDF is torn and destroyed when the EP is impacted,absorbing a part of the energy,resulting in the improvement of the mechanical properties of the EP.At the same time,the addition of ISDF reduces the activation energy of the composite material and lowers the curing temperature of the EP composite material.(3)After ball milling,APP and SDF are more evenly dispersed,and hydrogen bonding improves their reunion behavior.The addition of APP improves the thermal stability of SDF.The addition of APP makes the rigid EP more brittle,the interface force between KH-APP/SDF and EP is enhanced after ball milling,and the mechanical properties are improved.When the addition amount is 10%,the composite material reaches V-0 level,and the heat release rate(HRR),peak heat release rate(p HRR),average heat release rate(AHRR)and the total heat release value(THR)both decreased significantly.After the composite material burns,an expanded carbon layer is formed,and the amount of residual carbon also increases significantly.
