Research On The Innovation Design Of Suzhou Lantern Based On Symbiosis Concept

Traditional handicrafts are the accumulation of Chinese history and culture and the materialization of life in various regions.It is an important intangible cultural property in China.In recent years,industrial production has made traditional handicrafts face a crisis of inheritance,but people’s demand for spiritual culture is getting higher and higher,and the inheritance of traditional handicrafts has become more and more important.Symbiosis is a relationship of mutual reciprocity and interdependence of different substances.Combining the concept of symbiosis with traditional handicrafts is an important way to combine the past with modern times.The history of Chinese lanterns has a long history.Because of the differences in regional culture and customs,the local lanterns have their own characteristics.Suzhou Lantern has long been famous for its distinctive local characteristics.This article takes Suzhou Lantern as the research object to find the way Suzhou lighting and modern life are connected.Based on a large amount of research data and field investigations,this paper firstly combs the origin of the lanterns and the characteristics of the lanterns around the country,thus highlighting the characteristics of Suzhou Lantern,and elaborates its production process and artistic value.According to the results of field research,the status quo of Suzhou Lantern is analyzed,and the problems of its development are brought about by the status quo.Then the necessity of symbiosis between Suzhou Lantern and modern design is elaborated.The case of symbiosis between traditional handicraft and modern design is analyzed and summarized,and then combined with Suzhou Lantern Based on its own characteristics,it analyzes the symbiotic strategy of Suzhou Lantern and modern design,which serves as the basis for the symbiosis design of Suzhou Lantern.Finally,the author analyzes the results of the Suzhou Dengcai research questionnaire,combined with the field research,analyzes the specific design goals of Suzhou Lantern,and carries out innovative design practice with modern landscape lights and indoor lamps as the carrier,thus the traditional craft of Suzhou Lantern.The activation has made an exploratory attempt and has also made some useful attempts to explore ways and means of folk handicraft activation.
