Electroslag remelting,as a special steel smelting technology,plays a pivotal role in the entire metallurgical industry,at present,the use of refining slag in electroslag remelting is mainly based on 70%Al2O3+30%CaF2,among them,CaF2 is selected for high-grade fluorite ore,fluorite is a non-renewable resource,as the fluorite resource is depleted,the price is getting higher and higher.This is a common problem facing the metallurgical industry.At present,most of the steel mills directly discard the used slag after remelting.Some companies have also tried to reuse the slag but the amount is very small.Therefore,if the slag can be effectively returned to the slag for treatment and can be reused again Application in molten steel refining desulfurization is of great significance for reducing costs and improving the environment.In this paper,the melting point of the electroslag return slag is mainly processed to remove the sulfur in the slag to the greatest extent,and then the processed return slag and the refined slag retrieved on the spot and the refined slag prepared with pure reagents in the laboratory according to the theory are used for melting.,Viscosity,and molten steel desulfurization test comparison to confirm the feasibility of the second use of electroslag return slag for molten steel refining and desulfurization.The results show that the sulfur in the slag can be effectively removed in the gas phase by oxidizing roasting by returning the electroslag to the slag in the atmosphere at 1100?.Under this condition,the desulfurization rate in the slag can be as high as about 65%.By comparing the treated slag return slag with the other two sets of refining slag,the melting point of the slag return slag is slightly higher than that of the refining slag,and the average melting temperature is about 20?higher.The viscosity of the three groups of slags decreased with increasing temperature,and the viscosity of the two groups of refined slags was lower than that of the electroslag return slags in the fully melted state.In the desulfurization test,under the condition that the same temperature and the same amount of slag are added,the desulfurization rate of the electroslag return slag is not as good as that of the two sets of refined slag.The worst furnace desulfurization rate is less than 60%,and the highest furnace desulfurization can reach70.3%.Properly increasing the temperature of molten steel and increasing the amount of returning slag can increase the desulfurization rate of molten steel and basically reached the desulfurization effect of traditional refining slag.
