Polyester has the advantages of high strength,good acid and alkali resistance,but poor accessibility and easy to produce static electricity.Sericin has excellent hydrophilic properties,it is a residual product in the process of silk reeling.Sericin with excellent hydrophilic properties is coated on the surface of polyester fabric,which not only improves the moisture absorption performance of polyester,but also provides a new idea for the comprehensive utilization of sericin.In this paper,the effects of modified sericin and cross-linker coating and finishing processes on the properties of polyester fabrics were studied.Using aziridine XR-100 and ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(EGDE)as cross-linking agents,the properties of unmodified sericin-coated polyester fabric and alkali-reducing polyester fabric were compared and analyzed.Orthogonal test method was used for polyester fabric and alkali-reducing polyester fabric.The fabric is finished with modified sericin.The influencing factors of sericin modification process,polyester fabric alkali reduction and cross-linking agent on the moisture regain,moisture permeability,water contact angle and tensile strength of the sample were comprehensively analyzed.The effects of pH,dye concentration,and bath ratio on the dyeing rate,K/S value,and rubbing color fastness of the sample during the dyeing process were also analyzed.The results show that:(1)Using aziridine XR-100 as a cross-linking agent,the polyester fabric was treated with sericin,and the effect of the modification of sericin on fabric properties was studied.The unmodified sericin is coated and finished on the alkali-reduced polyester,and the fabric's moisture regain,moisture permeability,and water contact angle are all improved;when the sericin is modified with Taikoo oil and softener,it is coated and finished in The surface of polyester fabric pretreated by alkali reduction has improved moisture regain,bending performance and elongation at break.Among them,the most preferred sample for unmodif ed sericin coating and finishing is XR-100/raw silk&alkaline polyester sample.The experimental conditions are:sericin concentration of 10.00%,XR-100 concentration of 2.00%,and moisture regain is 2.11%;the most preferred sample for coating and finishing of modified sericin is XR-100/modified silk&alkaline polyester sample.The experimental conditions are:sericin concentration is 10.00%and XR-100 crosslinker concentration is 2.00%,Taikoo oil concentration is 1.00%,softener concentration is 0.75%,and moisture regain is 3.62%(2)Using EGDE as a cross-linking agent,the sericin was coated on polyester fabrics,and the effect of the modification of sericin on the properties of the samples was studied.When unmodified sericin is coated and finished on polyester fabrics,the moisture regain and antistatic properties of the fabric are improved;when sericin is modified with Taikoo oil and softener,the coating is finished in alkali reduction When the polyester fabric surface is treated,the moisture regain,bending performance and elongation at break of the fabric are all improved.Among them,after the unmodified sericin coating and finishing,the greatest increase in moisture regain is the EGDE/modified silk&alkaline polyester sample.The experimental conditions are:sericin concentration of 10.00%,EGDE concentration of 4.00%,The moisture regain is 2.06%;the best sample for modified sericin coating and finishing is EGDE/modified silk&alkaline polyester sample.The experimental conditions are:sericin concentration of 10.00%,EGDE concentration of 4.00%,and Taikoo oil.The concentration is 0.75%,the softener concentration is 0.75%,and the moisture regain is 2.18%.Under the EGDE crosslinking agent,the maximum static voltage after sericin coating and finishing is less than 250 V,and the half-life is less than 3 s.It has good antistatic property.(3)The moisture regain,water contact angle and bending properties of the samples coated with modified sericin were better than those of the samples coated with unmodified sericin,and the moisture permeability,moisture permeability and bending properties of the samples pretreated with alkali decrement were better than those without alkali reduction when the modification conditions of modified sericin were the same.(4)When the sample is under strong acidic conditions with a dye concentration of 5%(o.w.f)and a bath ratio of 1:30,the dyeing equilibrium percentage is the largest.Under the same bath ratio,the The dyeing rate is better than that of the EGDE cross-linking agent;the K/S value of the sample under the aziridine XR-100 cross-linking agent is greater than the K/S value of the sample under the EGDE cross-linking agent;PH value,dye concentration,and bath ratio in dyeing process have no obvious effect on friction color fastness of samples.To sum up,using aziridine XR-100 or ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(EGDE)as the cross-linking agent,the sericin modified by Taikoo oil and softener was coated and finished in alkali reduction On polyester fabrics,the moisture regain of the finished samples can be improved and the fabric feel can be improved.
