For now,by adding acid flocculation to solidify the natural rubber latex,the industrial production of nature rubber is,while a lot of disadvantages within.So,it is in urgent demands to produce high-quality natural rubber via new technics.Based on the charged characteristics of natural latex and outstanding advantages of electrophoresis,creatively,we proposed a method to flocculate natural latex by using electrophoretic flocculation.We carried out the mechanism research,process feasibility exploration and electrophoresis flocculation equipment's' design and improvement.Also,devices for small test,pilot test and industrial production had been made and the corresponding parameters were studied.The properties between natural rubber produced via electrophoretic flocculation and bacon rubber is equivalent.The main work and results of this paper are:1.The feasibility of flocculating concentrated natural rubber latex via electrophoretic flocculation was researched.Compare to bacon rubber,the flocculated rubbers that were electrophoretic flocculated from natural rubber latexes with different solid content do not get impurities in them and they are not destructured.Also,compare to bacon rubber,the TGA shows their ash content are 2.08?2.98%,while the bacon rubber is 3.41?5.25%.As for the vulcanization characteristics,the processing safety of them is better than bacon rubber,which can be learned from T10.They have equivalent mechanical performances as bacon rubber;the tensile strength of them can even reach 35.6MPa.2.We use the fresh natural latex for electrophoresis flocculation,and then compared the six indicators with traditional acid flocculation.Results show all the six indicators are in line with national standards,among them,impurities content is 0.02%,nitrogen content is 0.36%,ash content is 0.21%,those contents are slightly better than bacon rubber and rubber flocculated by acid.Also,among the six indicators,the initial plasticity is 39,the plasticity retention index is 85,the volatile content is 0.38%that is less than bacon rubber(0.64%)but more than rubber flocculated by acid(0.26%).3.By using plate electrode equipment,the optimal conditions of electrophoretic flocculation were studied.Graphite electrodes show the best performance on flocculation,followed by stainless steel.The optimal conditions of electrophoretic flocculation are 30V on voltage,15mm on spacing between the plates,6min on flocculation time.The power consumption,according to several experiments,is around 1kW·h for 1.5kg dry rubber.4.Studied for the industrialization devices of electrophoretic flocculation,designed small-scale plate and roller electrode devices,middle-scale roller electrode device.It shows that roller electrode device gets greater efficiency on flocculation,with a 99.9%rate on extraction and remains clarified residual liquid.Using roller electrode device,supporting with spray device,drying device and coiling collection device,the natural rubber latex's continuous flocculation can be obtained,also,it is easy to gather rubber and clarified residual liquid simultaneously,and easy to automate.5.The clarified residual liquid was characterized by optical rotation detection and high performance liquid chromatography,the remained solid which was dried from the residual liquid was characterized by infrared scanning,differential scanning calorimetry and thin layer chromatography.Those tests' results show that there is L-quebrachitol in the residual liquid.Furthermore,high performance liquid chromatography shows the L-quebrachitol's content in concentrated latex with 60%solid content,in fresh latex with 30%solid content and in skim latex with 5%solid content were 0.3%,0.64%,0.77%respectively.6.The ansys electric field simulation software was utilized to build a model to simulate and analyze the distribution of electric field.The simulation result shows to improve uniform electric field to extremely strong electric field is feasible.
