This thesis is based on the phenomenon that there are few tea drinkers in the Generation Y youth group born between the 1980 s and the middle and late 1990 s.Based on the comprehensive analysis of traditional Chinese tea culture,tea set design cases at home and abroad,and the characteristics and consumption tendency of the target population,the tea set design for Generation Y tea culture communication needs has been systematically studied.The design method of tea set for the target population was discussed and tested by design practice.Combined with the development of tea set design and the tea art of green tea,this thesis will deeply study and analyze the characteristics of the Generation Y youth population,and put forward a set of tea set design scheme which can meet the convenient tea drinking demand for Generation Y without being separated from the traditional tea culture.through the design of tea set,the interest of Generation Y in traditional Chinese tea culture can be enhanced,so as to achieve the purpose of spreading traditional Chinese tea culture in Generation Y.Through a dialectical analysis of existing excellent tea set design cases,as well as surveys on Generation Y users,it is found that there are many shortcomings such as inconvenient carrying,cumbersome and complicated use,lack of cultural flavor for the existing tea sets on the market,which is unable to satisfy the demand for the Generation Y to accept and spread the tea culture,and there are few good tea sets designed specifically for Generation Y.After a systematic analysis of the found problems,combining the advantages of excellent tea set design cases for the youth community,this thesis analyzes and summarizes the industry pain points and improvement plans involved in the tea set design subject for the Generation Y tea culture communication demand based on the investigation and case study.From finding problems to sorting out the demands of Generation Y for tea set,then combining the existing solutions,through all-round trade-offs and analysis of the feasibility of the design scheme,put the research conclusion into the design scheme that can not only solve existing problems to the greatest extent but also take into account practicality.
