Litsea cubeba oil is a kind of natural mixed perfume.Citral,one of its main components,and its derivative ionone are widely used in pesticide,medicine,perfume,food and other industrial fields.Vapor–liquid equilibrium?VLE?data for the systems containing citral and its derivative ionone have rarely been published.So,it is very meaningful to study the VLE data of the systems containing citral and its derivative ionone.The main work is as follows:?1?VLE data for citral?1?+linalool?2?,citral?1?+?-pinene?2?,linalool?1?+?-pinene?2?,citral?1?+?-ionone?2?,citral?1?+?-ionone?2?and?-ionone?1?+?-ionone?2?binary systems and ternary systems for citral?1?+linalool?2?+?-pinene?3?and citral?1?+?-ionone?2?+?-ionone?3?were measured at333.15,368.15 and 403.15 K using headspace?HS?gas chromatography?GC?method.?2?The VLE data for all systems at 333.15,368.15 and 403.15 K were tested by the the Redlich and Kister area and van Ness tests.All the D values for the binary systems studied are less than 2.All the values of?y for these systems were less than 0.01.These showed all experimental VLE data satisfied the requirements of thermodynamic consistency.?3?The Wilson,nonrandom two-liquid?NRTL?,and universal quasi-chemical equation?UNIQUAC?models were employed for VLE data of the six binary systems regression.And the experiment and calculated value of vapor phase composition and relative volatility were compared.The results showed that the maximum absolute average deviation?AAD?of vapor compositions for citral?1?+linalool?2?,citral?1?+?-pinene?2?,linalool?1?+?-pinene?2?,citral?1?+?-ionone?2?,citral?1?+?-ionone?2?and?-ionone?1?+?-ionone?2?at the measured temperatures using Wilson model,NRTL model,and UNIQUAC model were 0.60%,0.69%,0.37%,0.44%,0.60%and 0.92%,respectively.?4?VLE data for citral?1?+linalool?2?+?-pinene?3?and citral?1?+?-ionone?2?+?-ionone?3?ternary systems was predicted by using the binary interaction parameters obtained by model regression.And the experiment and calculated value of vapor phase composition were compared.The results showed that the AAD of vapor compositions for the two ternary systems at the measured temperatures using Wilson model,NRTL model,and UNIQUAC model were0.85%and 0.80%,respectively.?5?The excess Gibbs energy?GE?for all systems were calculated using the NRTL model.The maximum GEfor citral?1?+linalool?2?,citral?1?+?-pinene?2?,linalool?1?+?-pinene?2?,citral?1?+?-ionone?2?,citral?1?+?-ionone?2?and?-ionone?1?+?-ionone?2?systems were 0.3917,0.6651,0.1914,0.4002,0.2315 and-0.7143 k J·mol-1.
