Carbon nanotubes(CNT)have excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity.Buckypaper(BP)which is prepared by multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT),is a two-dimensional material of CNT.It not only has light weight,corrosion resistance,excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity,but also has the easy maneuverability and can easily prepare resin matrix composite,which the CNT powders do not possess.The problem of composite icing is a key problem that perplexes the wide application of composite material,while BP has excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity.It is suitable to be the heat source material of composite material.In order to study BP as a heat source of composite materials,BP and its composite materials were studied and prepared.The electric heating performance of buckypaper/glass fiber reinforced resin composite material was studied through experiments,and the possibility of its application in the field of anti deicing was verified.In this paper,firstly,BP was prepared by the method of suction filtration of MWCNT suspension,and its conductivity,thermal stability,micro morphology and pore distribution were tested.The electrical conductivity was calculated to be 7.52S/cm.Secondly,the effects of MWCNT length and diameter on the thermal conducitivity of MWCNT and BP simulated based on molecular dynamics LAMMPS simulation software.The results show that MWCNTs have good thermal conductivity,and the thermal conductivity is 126.61 W/m K.At last,the composite laminates were prepared by using BP as electric heating element and glass fiber prepreg.The electrical and deicing preperties of the composite under conditions of ambient temperature,wind speed and heat flux density were studied.The thermal damage and thermal fatigue effects were investigated through the cold and hot cycle test.The experimental results show that the laminate has the advantages of high heating rate and fast response.The process of deicing at low temperature shows that the melting time is less than 400 s at-17 ?.The composite has excellent electric heating performance and structural stability,which provides a reference for the application of MWCNTs in the field of deicing.
