Hydrogenated nitrile rubber is a highly saturated elastomer obtained by selective hydrogenation of unsaturated carbon-carbon double bonds in the molecular chain of nitrile rubber.Because the carbon-carbon double bonds are greatly reduced,hydrogenated nitrile rubber has a good Oil resistance,abrasion resistance,heat resistance,ozone aging resistance,chemical corrosion resistance,etc.,are a class of special rubber with excellent comprehensive performance,and are widely used.In this paper,an inverse emulsion system is used,and hydrazine hydrate / hydrogen peroxide / boric acid is used for redox to achieve selective hydrogenation of nitrile rubber.The main research content includes the following two aspects:1.Successfully prepared the reverse micelle emulsion system of nitrile rubber-chlorobenzene solution,and achieved the selective hydrogenation of nitrile rubber.The reverse micelle emulsion system is composed of water,surfactant AO1805 and nitrile rubber chlorobenzene solution,in which the water phase mass accounts for 10% of the entire system,the surfactant mass is 3% of the entire system;in this system,nitrile rubber is hydrogenated by hydrazine hydrate / hydrogen peroxide / boric acid redox method,in which the amount of redox agent is 3 times the molar mass of carbon-carbon double bond of nitrile rubber at 55 ? The hydrogenated nitrile rubber with a degree of hydrogenation close to 90%and a gel content of about 30% was prepared under the reaction conditions of 5 hours.It was initially proved that nitrile rubber can be selectively hydrogenated in an inverse emulsion system.2.Optimize the research of the above reverse micelle emulsion hydrogenation system,greatly reduce the gel content of hydrogenated nitrile rubber,and explore the way forward for the industrial application of this system.By adding acrylic acid,vinyl polyoxyethylene ether,dimethyl divinylpropyl ammonium chloride and other hydrophilic modifiers to the water phase,adding thiol,tetramethyl piperidine oxide,2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol and other hydrophobic modifiers to capture free radicals in the system to optimize the gel content of hydrogenated nitrile rubber;in acrylic acid as a hydrophilic modifier,2,6-di-tert Hydrogenated nitrile rubber with a hydrogenation degree of 86% and a gel content of 3.8%was prepared under the condition that butyl-p-cresol was used as the hydrophobicity modifier.Compared with the conventional emulsion hydrogenation,the hydrogenation product gelcontent of this method is greatly reduced,which has very good research and development prospects.This method is different from the conventional emulsion hydrogenation method.The water-in-oil system replaces the traditional oil-in-water system of the emulsion hydrogenation method.A surfactant with a free radical stabilizing effect is added,and then further optimized by a regulator to make The free radical content in the reaction system is reduced,and the gel content of the hydrogenated product is greatly reduced,which provides a good research idea for solving the gel problem.
