| Two brominated hyper-crosslinked adsorbent resins were prepared via bromination of macroporous post-crosslinked poly(divinyl-benzene-co-ethylstyrene)resin and hyper-crosslinked polystyrene/phenol-formaldehyde resin by Br2 in water without any catalyst.Bromination of hyper-crosslinked adsorbent resins in water could avoid the use of toxic organic solvents and catalyst,and reduce the post-treatment of waste liquid.Adsorbent resins with bromine in the phenyl rings increased their hydrophobicity and skeleton density,which were benefit for adsorption and separation.The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1.Macropourous highly crosslinked poly(divinylbenzene-co-ethylstyrene)resin(shorted as PD)was prepared by suspension polymerization of technical divinylbenzene(content 63%),and then it was post-crosslinked by the Friedel-Crafts reaction between the pendant vinyl groups and phenyl rings to get a macroporous post-crosslinked poly(divinyl-benzene-co-ethylstyrene)resin(shorted as PCPD).The PCPD resin was directly aromatically brominated with Br2 in water without any catalyst,which was followed by the elimination of HBr to remove the alkyl bromine,and thus the aromatically brominated post-crosslinked poly(divinyl-benzene-co-ethylstyrene)resin(shorted as PCPD-B)with bromine content of about 30%was prepared.The bromination reaction proceeded so quickly that the bromine content reached 21%within 10 min,and the reaction formed a closed circulation system by oxidization of HBr to Br2 with H2O2.2.Adsorption performance of PCPD and PCPD-B for2-aminothiazole and tryptophan in aqueous solution were tested.The results showed that hydrophobic interaction andπ-πstacking were the main driving force for adsorption,and the adsorption capacity of PCPD-B for 2-aminothiazole and tryptophan was greater than that of PCPD.Experimental data indicated that the adsorption capacity of PCPD-B to 2-aminothiazole was even greater than the commercial brominated resin SP207 due to the enhanced hydrophobicity of PCPD-B owning to the bromine distribution on the resin surface.3.Polystyrene resin was bounded with phenol via the Friedel-Crstfs reaction between phenol and chloromethylated polystyrene resin,and then it was post-crosslinked with dimethoxymethane to get a hyper-crosslinked polystyrene/phenol-formaldehyde resin(shorted as HCPS-PF).The HCPS-PF resin was brominated with bromine in water,after elimination of HBr to remove the alkyl bromine,the bromo-modified resin(shorted as HCPS-PF-B)was obtained and the bromine content of HCPS-PF-B was 30%measured by the method of Volhard.4.The adsorption performance of HCPS-PF and HCPS-PF-B toward 2-animothiozale,tryptophan,valine and glutathione were tested.The results showed that the adsorption capacity of HCPS-PF-B for the four adsorbates was all greater than that of HCPS-PF. |
