Evaluation Of Ecosystem Service Value In Dongting Lake Eco-economic Zone

Ecosystem services play an important role in protecting human development and regional ecological security,which is crucial for the sustainable development of human society,economy and ecological environment.Dongting Lake is an important wetland in the world,an important agricultural production base in China,and one of the four parts of the regional economic development map of Hunan Province.It bears the major responsibilities of ecological security,water security and national food security in the Yangtze River Basin,and plays an irreplaceable role in promoting regional sustainable development.This study takes Dongting Lake eco-economic zone as the research area,based on meteorological,hydrological,DEM,soil and land use data,by using ArcGIS and InVEST model,we evaluate three ecosystem services:water conservation,soil conservation and carbon storage in 2005,2010 and 2015,and the time changes of each ecosystem service are analyzed.Using the theory of market value,we choose the appropriate price to monetize the ecosystem services,and consider the ecosystem services value from a comprehensive perspective.The preliminary research results are as follows:(1)In 2005,2010 and 2015,the total amount of water conservation in Dongting Lake eco-economic zone is27.5070×10~8m~3,24.7728×10~8m~3,37.6172×10~8m~3;the total amount of soil retention is 18.5953×10~8t,17.6895×10~8t,23.6748×10~8t;the total amount of carbon storage is11.6734×10~8t,11.5923×10~8t,11.5236×10~8t.Combining the GIS spatial analysis method with the SPSS mathematical method,the quantitative analysis of the trade-off and coordination of ecosystem services shows that there is a positive correlation between the water conservation,soil conservation,carbon storage and other ecosystem services in the Dongting Lake eco-economic zone:the gain of one ecosystem service will also promote the gain of the other two ecosystem services.(2)The carbon storage,water conservation and soil conservation value of Dongting Lake eco-economic zone are calculated by the reasonable price in an appropriate method,the total value of ecosystem services in Dongting Lake eco-economic zone in 2005,2010 and 2015 is RMB 293892.58 million,RMB 288888.12 million and RMB 307961.60 million.Based on the evaluation results,this study mainly puts forward policy suggestions from two aspects:value conversion and value preservation and appreciation.From the perspective of value transformation,it is beneficial to realize the market value of ecological products by defining the property right,improving the property right transaction mechanism and standardizing the market order of ecological products.From the perspective of value preservation and appreciation,we should establish legal and institutional safeguards,repair the ecological assets and promote sustainable development.
