In the past decade,the rapid development of rare-earth doped multi-component glass fiber,such as phosphate,tellurite and germanate,has been successfully applied in the fields of high-power laser,ultra-narrow line-width single-frequency laser and ultra-high repetition frequency femtosecond output.With the development of optical fiber laser technology,higher requirements have been put forward for laser gain media,and further improving the optical amplification efficiency and laser power has become one of the goals of the next generation of high-power optical fiber laser materials.High solubility phosphate glass with rare earth ions which is an ideal material to achieve high gain fiber,has been paid much attention.In order to further improve the luminescence performance of phosphate glass,this paper combines the advantages of large excited emission cross section of halides glass and high rare earth solubility of phosphate glass.In order to develop a fiber gain medium that can realize high power and high efficiency of laser output,The research content includes the following aspects:1.The range of glass forming zones of P2O5-MO-Na Cl?M=Ba,Ca?system glass are predicted by means of thermodynamic method,and the range of the calculated glass forming zone are verified by experimental method.The glass forming zones of P2O5-MO-Na Cl?M=Ba,Ca?system glass are obtained by conventional melting cooling method.Thermodynamic method is used to predict the causes of errors in the glass formation zone,and these errors are corrected.2.The change of halide content and the structural change of glass in P2O5-Ca O-Na X?X=Cl,F,Br?system are discussed by means of Raman spectroscopy,Fourier infrared spectroscopy?FTIR?and density refractive index.The anti-crystallization ability of glass is studied by DSC.3.The luminescence properties of erbium-doped halide phosphate glass are studied.With the help of the absorption spectrum,the luminescent characteristic parameters are calculated by using the J-O theory,and the influence of halide on the local structure of phosphate glass is analyzed.Luminescence in erbium-doped halide phosphate glass is explained by the rare earth ion level,up-conversion spectrum,fluorescence emission spectrum and fluorescence lifetime.The relevant experimental results show that under 980nm LD excitation,the introduction of appropriate halides is conducive to improving the 1.5meters fluorescence emission of erbium-doped phosphate glass,as well as its gain and bandwidth characteristics,which is more conducive to the fiber laser to realize efficient and high-power laser output.
