Wood is an important resource in today's world, but the available wood quantity is less and the quality is lower than the average level of the world. Therefore, the study of wood performance is becoming increasingly important. This paper will study the stress relaxation performance of wood and experimental equipment, and design a wood stress relaxation instrument. In order to fully meet the requirements of the experiment, this paper starts from the basic theory of wood stress relaxation experiment, and collects the domestic and foreign wood stress relaxation experiment and the knowledge of wood stress relaxation, and understands the basic theory of experiment mode, influencing factors and analysis of experimental results.Through the analysis of the experiment, the basic requirements of the equipment design are determined, and the overall design is integrated and analyzed. The Solid Works software is used to draw the 3d model of the equipment, which lays a foundation for the subsequent simulation analysis. In order to make the operation of the wood stress relaxer simple and the data easy to read, this paper selects s7-200 Smart PLC with TPC7062 Ti touch screen as the control and display system of the equipment.Combined with the writing of the control program, the man-machine interaction of the wood stress relaxer can be realized finally. The finite element simulation of the main structure and parts of the equipment is carried out with ANSYS Workbench software, and the static analysis of the main structure under the limit working condition is carried out,so as to investigate whether the equipment design meets the stiffness and strength requirements.
