Friction is a widespread and inevitable phenomenon in daily life and industrial production.Its rational use brings us a lot of convenience,but on the other hand,its loss will also affect the production efficiency,higher the production cost,restrict the production conditions.With the development of science and technology and the improvement of industrial production requirements,people are paying more attention to friction phenomenon in the design,manufacture and use of machinery.How to reduce the adverse effects caused by friction and improve the precision and service life of devices has become a very practical problem.The emergence and development of wearreducing and wear-resisting materials provide a feasible answer to this question.Polyether ether ketone(PEEK),as a kind of high-performance engineering plastic,is a semi-crystalline polymer with benzene ring,ether bond and carbonyl group on the molecular chain.It has neat structure,good heat resistance,excellent strength and stiffness,excellent chemical stability and outstanding self-lubrication performance.These advantages make it widely used as the matrix of polymer composite material in the field of wear reduction and wear resistance.Fiber,solid lubricant and hard material are often added to improve the performance of polyether ether ketone,and the results have been widely used.Hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN),also known as "white graphite",has the same crystal structure with graphite,and has the similar advantage of high temperature resistance,high thermal conductivity.Doping hexagonal boron nitride can improve the physical properties of resin matrix composites and friction performance,its high thermal conductivity can generated be quickly by the friction heat emission,reduce the thermal wear of composite friction loss.h-BN has a relatively wide range of particle sizes,and the dispersion or agglomeration state of boron nitride with different particle sizes in the polymer matrix is different,which will also affect its interface binding degree with the polymer matrix.Based on PEEK as polymer matrix composite materials,in order to study the filler size and add quantity to the influence of the wear mechanisms of the composites,chose three different particle size range of hexagonal boron nitride,the variables in the control experiment,first of all discussed seriatim both for composite materials in the process of friction effect brought by the difference,then select the benign influence of factors on cross experiment,to explore the factors of synergy,finally introduced the excellent antifriction——polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),in order to adapt to the different requirements of practical application provides different kind of targeted solutions,enlarging the application scope of the material.In this paper,the friction coefficient of the material is measured by the friction tester,and the wear rate of the material is measured.At the same time,the microstructure of the friction surface was analyzed by field emission scanning electron microscope(SEM),and the wear mechanism of the material was deeply discussed.Thermal weight loss(TGA)and dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)were used to test the thermal properties of the composite and test its mechanical properties.Compared with pure PEEK,the improvement of the friction and wear modification of the composite and the improvement of other aspects were comprehensively analyzed and discussed.Compared to the pure poly(ether-ether-ketone),we’ve got the lowest friction coefficient when h-BN has the total amount of 10%,and the ratio of three kinds of particle size(small,medium and large)is 6:2:2 and 2:2:6 two mixed way to PEEK,which decreased about 35%,and compared with lower friction coefficient and wear rate of rise modestly,at this time of composite material can be applied to some on the friction coefficient and wear rate has general requirements;Adding PTFE to it can reduce the friction coefficient of the material by 46%,but will significantly improve its wear rate.The composite material formula is more suitable for some areas that do not require high wear rate but need to highlight the wear reduction effect.In this thesis,we use the basic preparation process,without adding any under the premise of coupling agent and other additives,the preparation of the composite material has good friction performance,still with other resin compound,successfully improved the overall performance of the material,make the material has more use value,for the subsequent research has certain guiding significance.
