With the continuous development of modern industrial science and technology,the requirement of metal materials properties is getting higher and higher.Zirconium?Zr?and Zr alloys themselves have excellent physical and chemical properties,such as small neutron absorption cross-sectional area,excellent corrosion resistance,radiation resistance and small thermal expansion coefficient,etc.which have attracted great attention of scientists at home and abroad.However,the application of Zr alloys in the nuclear industry is very expensive,and the expansion of the application range is greatly limited.Through continuous research by scientific researchers,it is found that ordinary Zr alloy has the application prospect as a structural material,which can expand the application field of Zr alloy.Based on this,this paper takes Zr-Ta alloy as the research object,and studies the microstructure of Zr-Ta alloy by regulating the content of Ta element,aiming at further improving the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of Zr alloy.A series of Zr-Ta alloy ingots with different compositions were smelted in vacuum non consumable melting furnace,and the microstructure,phase structure and phase transition temperature of the Zr-Ta alloy with different compositions were analyzed by X-ray diffraction,Optical microscope,Scanning electron microscope and Differential scanning calorimeter.Use tensile testing machine and electrochemical equipment to test the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the Zr-Ta alloy.The results show that,with the increase of Ta content,the phase structure of Zr-Ta alloy changes from the initial single phase to the dual phase structure,the microstructure is refined,decrease of phase transition temperature from?to?,and the strength and hardness of Zr-Ta alloy increased accordingly,the hardness of Zr6Ta alloy can reach376.9HV,the tensile strength can reach 1117.3MPa,and the fracture elongation rate is4.87%.The corrosion test results show that the Zr-Ta alloy can form a stable passivation film in HCl and HNO3 corrosion medium,which can effectively protect the alloy from corrosion solution.With the gradual increase of Ta element content,pitting potential of Zr-Ta alloy in HCl solution increases accordingly,and the range of micro-morphology sheet pitting pits gradually decreases.After electrochemical test in HCl and HNO3 solution,the corrosion current density decreases gradually,and the arc diameter,mode value and phase angle of EIS increase gradually.Immersion experiments in HCl and HNO3solutions showed that the Zr-Ta alloy had excellent corrosion resistance in these media,and no appreciable corrosion loss was detected after 30 days of immersion...
