The rheological properties of carbon black filled NR was investigated from filling, remilling and carbon black species aspects by means of rubber processing analysis meter, capillary rheometer rheological representation with TEM and OM.The research results were listed as follows: Compared unfilled and carbon black filled NR,the storage modulus was not sensitive with the variation of strain by means of frequency sweep. The Newton properties of carbon black filled NR is stronger than that of unfilled NR.The Cox-Merz relationship is suitable for carbon black filled system by proper conversion.Compared the carbon black filled NR before and after remilling, the carbon black dispersion increased and the die swell ratio decreased. The extrudate smooth surface degree increased and the non-Newton properties improved after remilling. The filler-polymer interaction was weak and the degree of filler-polymer interaction decreased with increase of the temperature. The filler dispersion was better, and the correlation of Cox-Merz was better for filled system. For the NR filled with different kinds of carbon black, the flocculation is easy to happen at high temperature for the small particle size and structure of carbon black. It leads to high storage modulus. The die swell ratio was small for carbon black N550 filled system. The nonNewton index was not affected by particle size of carbon black and the high structure, the stronger non-Newton.The applicability of Cox-Merz relationship was better for carbon black N550 filled system.
