Metals are the important materials in structural and decorative fields,which are susceptible to various corrosion due to their exposure to different corrosive media.Imidazoline corrosion inhibitor can form a physical and chemical adsorption layer on the surface of metals,which can used in metal pickling process with high corrosion inhibition performance.Corrosion and acid fog inhibitors are widely utilized to inhibit erosion and acid mist in the pickling process of strip,wire rod,steel wire and other materials.It is the trend to prepare these inhibitors with low cost,high performance,and environment friendly.Imidazoline oleates were synthesized by the reaction of diethylenetriamine and oleic acid under conventional thermal condensation process,three imidazoline quaternary ammonium salts OLA-n(n = 1,2,3)were further prepared by quaternization imidazoline oleate with benzyl chloride,sodium chloroacetate,respectively.The effects of different quaternizing regents,inhibitor concentrations,hydrochloric acid concentration,temperature and time on the corrosion inhibition performance were determined through experiments.The optimal experimental parameters were OLA-1 0.1%,HCl 20%,and reaction time 4 h,acid pickling temperature 60 ?.Secondly,OLA-1 inhibitors were further formulated with other auxiliary additives.The optimal conditions were followed: OLA-1 0.1%,KI 0.04%,V_C 0.03%,EDTMPS 0.05%,FC-1100 0.03% based on weight loss method.The electrochemical methods(includes polarization curve method,AC impedance method)were carried out to investigate the corrosion mechanism.The results presented that it was a cathode corrosion inhibitor,which mainly inhibited the cathode reaction.An adsorption film was formed on the electrode surface,which increased the charge resistance and gave a high corrosion inhibition effect.The products of best corrosion and mist inhibitor formula(No.SX-1)were carried out in three factories in Hebei province,all of them gave excellent experimental results,and the mist inhibition rate was not less than 80%,corrosion inhibition rate was not less than 85%,hydrochloric acids were saved 15%~30% dosages compared with no corrosion inhibitors,it had better economic and social benefits.Figure 13;Table 31;Reference 77...
