Pollution Characteristics And A Preliminary Study On Risk Control Of Organic Pollutants In Agricultural Soils And Vegetables From The Yangtze River Delta

Vegetable intake is an important way of human exposure to organic pollutants.The accumulation of organic pollutants in vegetables is related to pollutants and vegetable types and soil conditions.This paper analyzed the concentration and distribution of PAEs,PAHs,PBDEs,HCHs and DDTs in the farmland and vegetables in the Yangtze River Delta?YRD?.The bioconcentration of pollutants and the influence factors were studied,and the priority organic pollutants were screened based on the human health risk assessment.Then vegetables planting strategy in YRD was put forward based on the partition-limited model.The main results are as follows:?1?PAHs?1.15-1.61×10⁴ng/g?were organic pollutants with higher concentration in YRD soil.Moderate and heavy pollution sites accounted for 2.6%,respectively.The 4-ring PAHs accounted the most.The detection rate of PAEs and PAHs in vegetables was 100%.Organic pollutants with higher concentration in YRD vegetables were PAEs?10.9-1.64×10⁴ng/g?,in which Dn BP and DEHP accounted the most,followed by PAHs?1.54-1.13×10³ng/g?,with Phe and Flt accounting the most.The sequence of bioconcentration factors of organic pollutants was:PAEs>PAHs>PBDEs>DDTs>HCHs.The bioconcentration were positively correlated with vegetable lipid content,but negatively correlated with soil f_ocand log K_ow.?2?PAHs contributed higher carcinogenic risk,while PAEs and PBDEs contributed the non-carcinogenic one.According to human health risk assessment,DEHP,Ba P,Ba A and Db A were selected as the priority organic pollutants in soil of YRD.Ba P was taken as an example to calculate the limit of Ba P in vegetables based on the human health risks.Then according to the soil pollution and soil f_oc,the limits of the vegetable lipid content were calculated with the partition-limited model and a vegetable planting strategy was put forward for producing vegetables safely.
