Particulates are tiny solids,liquids,or gases in a divided state,and can also be living microorganisms,bacteria,viruses,and so on.In the detection of water particles,there are many different detection standards.The important parameters are the turbidity of the water and the size of the particles contained in it which called the particle size.At present,the traditional water quality particle detection system usually only has a single measurement function(only independent measurement of turbidity or particle size can be achieved),but in the current actual production and life,it is often necessary to measure the turbidity of water and particle size at the same time.Therefore,many traditional water particle measurement devices cannot suit the current actual needs.In addition,the traditional detection devices have the disadvantages of large size,high price,low signal-to-noise ratio and long response time,which is difficult to adapt to the current production and daily life.In this article,we have conducted in-depth research on the multi-parameter detection method of fiber optic water particles based on single photon detection technology.By using the relevant principles of light scattering,taking advantage of the optical fiber sensor technology in the field of signal processing systems,and combining the high precision and high sensitivity of single photon detection technology,a set of turbidity and particle size of water particles can be designed.The detection system for simultaneous measurement realizes a wide dynamic measurement range and high-precision multi-parameter measurement of water particles.Compared with the traditional water quality particle detection device,the detection system is more compact,more sensitive and accurate,and has a higher signal-to-noise ratio,which can achieve turbidity measurement within the range of 0-200 NTU and 50nm-500 nm measurement of particle size in the range.And in this topic,we also conducted in-depth discussions and explorations on the influence factors of the multi-parameter detection process of water quality particulate matter,such as incident optical power and temperature,on the detection system,which greatly improved the actual production and life.
