The gas station is an important gathering system in the gas transportation project. It is combined with different pipelines, various instruments, and various types of equipment.Flange is one of the most important ways to achieve these combined connections in it,so the leakage of bolted flange connection system can be said to be one of the most important causes of leakage in the gas station.Prior to this, domestic and foreign scholars have intensively studied the sealing performance of the flange, and there is hardly any research for the gas field flange system. Therefore,it is very important to study the tightness of the gas station flange sealing from the perspective of engineering safety. This paper mainly uses the combining theory and simulation to study the tightness of the flange system. It theoretically analyzes the leakage of the flange, establishes the deformation coordination equation among between parts of the system. And the tightness failure tree of the flanges is established from two aspects of strength failure and seal failure. The simulation uses the software named ANSYS Workbench. It mainly evaluates and studies the tightness of flange system from static and dynamic aspects. The results show that the gas pressure increases, the ambient temperature is too high or too low,and the vibration caused by the gas transportation process will reduce the tightness of the flange system. The sequential multiple prestressing method is beneficial to the uniform distribution of the compressive stress on the gasket. All these results could provide theoretical basis and technical support for the gas station field flange tightness evaluation system.
