With the rapid development of China's natural gas industry,natural gas leakage accidents are becoming more and more frequent.Meanwhile,more and more scholars begin to study this problem,most of them are using numerical simulation method in the research on natural gas leakage.However,all of the current scholars have ignored the impact of throttling effect on gas diffusion.In this paper,the effect of J-T effect on natural gas diffusion caused by natural gas pipeline leakage is studied.Comparisons were made without considering J-T effect.Gas leakage and diffusion law with and without J-T effect conditions are studied when the diameter of leak orifice,the velocity of wind and the ambient temperature are changed.The results show that when the velocity of wind is low,the J-T effect has a greater impact on natural gas diffusion.With the increase of orifice size and ambient temperature,J-T effect becomes more and more important.Therefore,it can be more accurate in calculating gas leakage and diffusion when considering J-T effect.When the velocity of wind is high,the influence of J-T effect on natural gas diffusion is small and can be neglected in the calculation of gas leakage and diffusion.The study conclusions are helpful for finding out the diffusion of natural gas which leaks from high-pressure natural gas pipeline and guiding the precaution and succor.
