Volatile Organic Compounds?VOCs?are important precursors for the formation of ozone and fine particle pollution,causing a series of serious environmental problems such as photochemical smog,haze,and climate warming.According to incomplete statistics,the national anthropogenic source VOCs emissions exceed 30million tons.Therefore,the prevention and control of VOCs pollution is imminent.The exhaust gas from the MSBR waste water treatment facility of a pharmaceutical plant and the comprehensive exhaust gas from the production workshop contain low concentrations of VOCs such as toluene,n-heptane,and dimethylsulfide,which have a foul odor,which seriously affects the ambient air quality and endangers human health.From the perspective of technical economy and purification degree,biological method has the advantages of high efficiency and low consumption,no secondary pollution,etc.,and has attracted much attention in the treatment of low-concentration VOCs exhaust gas.In this study,a pilot plant for the biological purification of exhaust gas was used to treat the comprehensive exhaust gas produced by a wastewater treatment facility and production workshop of a pharmaceutical plant.The performance of the pilot plant for purifying exhaust gas under actual operating conditions was investigated,and the influence of process parameters on the purification performance was discussed.Based on the high-throughput sequencing technology,the microbial community structure on the filler was analyzed,in order to explore the possibility of biological treatment of this type of actual exhaust gas,and to provide experimental basis for the industrial application of biological deodorization technology.The results of OPERATION PRACTICE showed that:1)As a pilot test,the VOCs concentration is lower than that of the treated gas,but the research is lower,but the operating cost is low,the overall BTF has good purification performance for malodor and VOCs,and hydrophobic VOCs such as toluene also have a certain purification effect,with good economy.2)During the field tests,the optimal gas volume was 1000 m3·h-1?2400 m3·h-1,with the corresponding residence time of 46.8s?112s.When the EBRT was 56s,the maximum elimination capacity of VOCs is 2.003 g·m-3·h-1,and the corresponding inlet load at this time is 2.119 g·m-3·h-1.3)While the intake air concentration?odor value?changes,the spontaneous decrease of the system p H will make the Acidobacteria on the filler become the dominant strain,showing a certain adaptability in the short term.And the effect of spray liquid density was not obvious on the performance.The BTF could better cope with the fluctuations in actual exhaust gas concentration and volume,alone with the changes in the main components of exhaust gas.4)Microbial analysis of the biofilm showed that Metallibacterium,Thiomanas,Fluviicola,Cloacibacterium and Acidiphilium were the dominant strains in the BTF.Microorganisms belonging to these genera might play the important roles during the pollutant removal and system stable operation.
