With the progress of science and technique along with time,the comprehensive performance requirements of parts in aerospace,precision optics and other fields are getting more higher.Stainless steel,aluminium alloy,titanium alloy etc materials have been widely noted by domestic and foreign researchers due to their excellent mechanical properties such as high strength and rigidity,good corrosion resistance,etc.When using traditional turning methods to cut it,there are a series of defects such as poor surface processing quality,severe heat generation,and easy tool wear.Now,the cutting status of ferrous materials has restricted the application of a little kinds of materials to a certain degree in precision situations.In recent years,scholars at home and abroad have found that ultrasonic vibration assisted machining can help improve the cutting performance of a lot of materials.In this paper,based on the principles of one-dimensional ultrasonic vibration assisted machining system and double-excitation two-dimensional elliptical vibration assisted machining system,Designed the vibration commutator to change direction,and analyzed the separation characteristics of ultrasonic vibration assisted cutting,developed a single-excitation two-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic vibration assisted turning system that can be used for stainless steel.The main research content as show in the following aspects:First use the simulation software to study the cutting mechanism of the two-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic vibration cutting stainless steel materials,and study the influence of cutting parameters on shear angle,chip and average cutting force during the cutting process;analyze the cutting principle of one-dimensional ultrasonic vibration cutting and two-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic vibration cutting.Mainly focused on its separation characteristics.Next aiming at the excitation form of the single-excitation two-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic vibration processing device and the processing characteristics of the groove parts,the processing device is designed in combination with the analytical method and the finite element method to realize precision and ultra-precision elliptical ultrasonic vibration assisted cutting.In the end an impedance analyzer and a laser displacement sensor were used to study the impedance characteristics of the vibration device and the vibration characteristics at the tip of the tool,respectively,to verify the rationality of the device’s structural size design and the feasibility of the single-excitation commutation method for elliptical vibration trajectory generation.Design cutting experiments of stainless steel materials,Study the effect of different cutting speeds and different cutting method on the machining quality of workpieces.
