Panxi area of sichuan province of China is rich in titanium resources with proven reserves of about 870 million tons?calculated as TiO2?,accounting for 90.54% of the country,belonging to rock-mineral ilmenite resources.In order to make full use of the titanium concentrate in the Panxi area,to achieve iron extraction from titanium concentrate and obtain high-grade titanium-rich materials,it is a major technical approach to use the electric furnace melting method with large production scale and high efficiency.However,the electric furnace in the Panxi area is an open electric furnace,and the titanium concentrate has a small particle size and a high sulfur content.When the titanium concentrate is directly introduced into the furnace,the process will be smooth,the sulphur content of the pig iron is high,and the sulphur content is lowered.Smelting efficiency.Therefore,this research carries out research on new technology of sintering concentrate granulation pretreatment of titanium concentrate,and provides guidance for improving the smelting efficiency of titanium concentrate and guiding actual production.In this paper,16 sets of orthogonal experiments were designed with Titanium concentrate in Panxi area as the research object.The best blending of titanium concentrate was obtained by sintering pre-experiment;in order to further improve the quality of sintered ore,improve the production efficiency of sintering and reduce the energy The optimization experiment of titanium concentrate sintering was carried out by adjusting the size of remineralized ore,the proportion of remineralized ore and the method of coke powder addition.The optimal experimental conditions were obtained.Finally,the phase structure of the sintered ore was analyzed by XRD and scanning electron microscopy.Consolidation mechanism of concentrate ore.Made the following conclusions:?1?The performance of titanium concentrate is not good,the technical index of sintering process is poor,and the best ratio of yield?greater than 5 mm?is 1.2% of binder content,6% of coke powder content,and the content of returning mineral is35%;the best blending ratio of desulfurization rate is 1.05% binder content,5.1%coke powder content and 25% return mineral content;the best weighted scoring method based on multi-factor test,the best of titanium concentrate sinter The ore is1.05% binder,5.1% coke powder,and 35% return mineral.The most influential factor is the binder,followed by the returning mineral,and the minimum is the coke powder.?2?Using the experimental conditions of A9,A10 and A11,the TiO2 grade can be above 45%,the yield?greater than 1 mm?and the desulfurization rate are above 85%;under the condition that the finished ore is broken below 15 mm,The average yield of finished ore in the three groups of A9,A10 and A11 was 82.95%,but according to the calculation of powder recycling,the powder produced after crushing under the experimental conditions of A9 and A11 was larger than the amount of powder added,which could not meet the powder.Material recycling.Under the experimental conditions of A10?30% of the ore return,40% of the 1?5 mm particle size,60% of the particle size less than 1 mm?,the amount of powder produced and the amount added are balanced;in summary,the best sintering of titanium concentrate The experimental conditions are A10.?3?The main mineral phase structure in the titanium fine sinter is pseudo-titanium ore phase?Fe2TiO5?,ilmenite phase?FeTiO3?and slag phase.During the sintering process,the pseudo-titanite phase and the ilmenite phase are mainly two phases.In the form of solid phase,the slag phase is transformed into a liquid phase and enters into the gap between the pseudo-titanium ore phase?Fe2TiO5?and the ilmenite phase?FeTiO3?,acting as a binder;the ilmenite mineral structure is dense.It is beneficial to improve the strength of titanium fine sinter,loose structure of pseudo-titanium mineral,which is not conducive to improving the strength of titanium fine sinter;increasing sintering temperature and Fe O content are two important factors to improve the consolidation strength of titanium fine ore.
