Middle school students are in the golden age of growth and development in their lifetimes.However,under the current social background,the pressure of schoolwork in this education stage has continued to increase.School bags have become more and more necessary for this group,and they have brought more or less to their lives Physical and mental burden.At present,the design of schoolbags for middle school students mainly has problems such as mismatching with adolescent physical development characteristics,unreasonable carrying structure,and chaotic division of functional areas.The backpacking experience brought by these disadvantages will not only cause physical health problems such as scoliosis,shoulder height,etc.of middle school students,but also further affect their mental health,and cause negative emotional manifestations such as weariness and truancy.Therefore,the problem of shoulder bag design for middle school students is a subject worthy of further study.First of all,by learning specific literature to understand the physical and mental development characteristics of middle school students,combined with the market research,field observation and in-depth interviews with relevant figures,this paper sorted out the backpack needs of middle school students and the functional defects of existing bags,and clarified the research direction of middle school students’ bag design.Secondly,with the theory of ergonomics as the research method,combined with the human body size data of 12-17 years old in China,this paper analyzes and studies the problem of backpack structure in middle school students’ schoolbag design,and establishes the mapping model of key part parameters and schoolbag product parameters in the growth process of middle school students.Finally,according to the above theoretical basis and method guidance,the middle school students’ schoolbag design practice is carried out,the schoolbag prototype is made and the design effect is evaluated.Based on the ergonomics theory and research methods,a mapping model of key position parameters and product parameters in the growth process of middle school students is provided to provide design principles and suggestions for the design of schoolbags for middle school students.The research method of the mapping model established at the same time also provides a design direction for the design of other growth products,which has certain reference significance.
