Research Of Modular Musical Instrument Design Based On "Self-Constructivity" Design Concept

The production of musical instruments is different from general industrial products.It requires not only the exquisite appearance of musical instruments,but also good acoustic quality,including timbre,loudness and pitch height.as well as in the selection of materials,modeling appearance design and maintenance and other aspects of strict requirements.According to the standard,mass production of the same kind of musical instruments on the assembly line,there is no obvious difference in shape,size,ignoring the personalized needs of users.Based on the concept of "self-construction" and the method of "modularization ",this paper analyzes the musical instruments used by studies and analyzes of individual needs of users,collects feedback information from users and carries out on-the-spot observation and investigation on specific users.The design is based on user requirements,ergonomics,modular design and morphological semantics.The paper aims to enlighten more design ideas,integrate "self-construction" into the field of music product design,and design a musical instrument for users that can oblige their personalized needs to a greater extent,so that users can combine and decorate their musical instruments according to their own needs.The purpose of this research is to develop musical instruments based on the design concept of "self-construction" and using the design method of "modularization" to oblige the demand of users' individualized performance,and to explore more new forms and ideas of musical instrument design,so as to stimulate users' new ways and forms of music performance.
