The Kirigami In The Era Of "Intangible Cultural Heritage" Applied To Modern Design

Traditional paper-cut culture in China has thousands of years of history with the development of Chinese nation.Carrying the worship and love of life and nature of the descendants of Yan and Huang and representing different cultural attributes and regional characteristics,it is one of the art forms with the most national characteristics.With the rapid development of Chinese society and the deepening of modernization,the focus of modern aesthetics is not only confined to contemporary life,more traditional Chinese culture and folk art forms have become a new focus of modern art and social life.The 2010 Shanghai World Expo China Pavilion “Crown of the East” has become a new landmark of Shanghai.Han clothes have become the fashion trend of young people nowadays.Modern design has broken the geographical constraints and space-time barriers.With paper-cut as an example,the characteristics of hollowing out,double-happiness patterns,words and drawings are widely used in graphic design,product design,environmental design and fashion design have been more and more recognized.Taking Manchu paper-cut as the research object,this paper analyzes the environment of its origin,development and evolution,cultural connotation of this traditional folk art,summarizes the practical value,cultural value,religious value and dissemination value of Manchu paper-cut.Based on the detailed analysis of Manchu paper-cut's artistic features,such as its subject matter,manifestation and expressive skills,and the comparison of the differences of paper-cut art in other regions.This paper further explains the protection and inheritance of Manchu paper-cut in this non-heritage era,and combines traditional art with modern design,emphasizing the investigation and sampling based on statistical probability.It also highlights the innovative application of modern design in advertising,product design and fashion design to show the efforts made in preserving and spreading traditional art forms.Through the discussion and analysis of Manchu paper-cut,this paper aims to let more people pay attention to the common and unusual intangible cultural heritage of paper-cut,promote the inheritance of traditional culture and physical innovation of Manchu paper-cut,and further provide some research reference for other folk arts calling for more attention and research.
