As we all know,there are a lot of bacteria in many places in people's work and daily life.As people's living standards improve,more people start to pursue the quality of life.Antibacterial wiping materials penetrate into every aspect of people's life and work,such as personal hygiene,food and living,medical,electronics and automotive.There are many types of wiping materials on the market,but people prefer the antibacterial wipes with low price,green safety and environmental protection.Bamboo pulp fiber is a new type of regenerated cellulose fiber,with abundant raw materials,low price,green environment protection,natural degradation,high water absorption and certain antibacterial effect.Compared with cotton fiber and viscose fiber,bamboo pulp fiber has better heat resistance and absorption,and better air permeability,soft and durable;Hemp fiber is a natural cellulose fiber,which is naturally degradable,has a high breaking strength,better water absorption than viscose and cotton fibers,and has good natural antibacterial properties;Both fibers are ideal raw materials for nonwoven wipes.ES fiber is a kind of core-sheath composite fiber,which is not only soft but also can increase the strength of the material through thermal bonding.It is mixed with natural fibers at a certain ratio to enhance the degree of consolidation of the material after thermal bonding,while maintaining the softness,reducing the secondary pollution caused by lint in the use of wiping materials,and enriching and optimizing the type and performance of nonwoven products.This subject is to prepare a wiping material that meets low cost,environmental protection,antibacterial and comprehensive use performance.Green bamboo pulp fiber and hemp fiber are selected as raw materials,mixed with ES fiber at different fiber ratios,and then carded into a web,hydroentangled and thermally bonded to prepare nonwoven wipe materials.Characterize and analyze the properties of the two wiping materials,determine the better fiber ratio,and evaluate their practical value as wiping materials.On this basis,according to the use environment with higher requirements for antibacterial properties,such as medical and sanitary occasions,the antibacterial finishing of the wiping material is performed to improve its antibacterial property and expand its application field.Organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt(AEM-5700)and polyhexamethylene biguanidine hydrochloride(PHMB)are selected as antibacterial agents,which are harmless to human body and have an efficient broad-spectrum.Antibacterial finishing is performed on the wiping material,and the antibacterial performance analysis and comparison are performed to determine the superior antibacterial agent type and antibacterial finishing liquid concentration.The following conclusions were obtained:(1)When the area density is constant,with the increase of bamboo pulp fiber content,the thickness of bamboo pulp/ES fiber nonwoven wiping material gradually decreases,mechanical properties and abrasion resistance gradually decrease,air permeability shows an increasing trend,softness,hydrophilicity and the water absorption is getting better and better,and the antibacterial properties of the material are better.The bacteriostatic rate against Staphylococcus aureus is up to 38.59%,and the bacteriostatic rate against E.coli is up to 38.62%.Comprehensive consideration,in this test,the wiping material prepared by mixing 70% bamboo pulp fiber and 30% ES fiber has good strength,certain abrasion resistance,good softness and high soil absorption,and the bacteriostatic rate of staphylococci reaches 33.52%,and the bacteriostatic rate of E.coli reaches 30.22%,which meets the requirements of the national standard GB 15979-2002,and is suitable for the electronics industry and automotive cleaning,where certain antibacterial properties are required.When the area density is constant,with the increase of hemp fiber content,the thickness of the hemp/ES fiber nonwoven wiping material gradually increases,the area of the bonding area between hemp fiber and ES fiber gradually decreases,the mechanical properties and wear resistance decrease,and the flexibility first improves and then worsens,the air permeability,hydrophilicity and water absorption will gradually increase,the better the antibacterial properties of the material,and the highest antibacterial rate against Staphylococcus aureus can reach 58.3%,and the highest antibacterial rate against E.coli can reach 65.3%.Comprehensively considered,the wiping material prepared by mixing 50% hemp fiber and 50% ES fiber in this test has certain strength,good softness and dirt absorption,and the antibacterial rate against Staphylococcus aureus reaches 33.66%.The bacteriostatic rate of E.coli reaches 49.72%,exceeding the national standard GB 15979-2002,but its abrasion resistance is poor,and it easily causes hair loss.It is suitable for industrial wipes,such as cement plants,but not for high wipe precision instrument.(2)The antibacterial property of bamboo pulp /ES fiber nonwoven wiping material after antibacterial finishing has been improved.As the concentration of the antibacterial agent increases,the amount of antibacterial agent attached to the surface of the wiping material increases,the better the antibacterial effect.The optimal finishing concentration of the two antibacterial agents is 0.5% wt.With the antibacterial properties of the bamboo pulp fiber,the antibacterial rate of the wiping material can exceed 90%,far exceeding the provisions of the national standard GB/T 20994.3-2008.(3)Compared with AEM-5700,under the same washing times and antibacterial agent concentration,the antibacterial rate of PHMB finishing materials is higher.And at the same concentration,after different washing times,the bacteriostatic rate of the material after PHMB finishing decreases less.And after 15 times of washing,the bacteriostatic rate of the wipe material can still exceed the national standard GB/T 20944.3-2008,which indicating that PHMB antibacterial agent has better antibacterial property and washing resistance,and the finishing wipe material can still meet the national standard after washing 15 times.
