With the increase of people's requirements for the living environment,the carpet weaving industry has entered a period of rapid development.However,the current carpet weaving industry has the problems of low product design efficiency and waste of materials by repeatedly weaving carpet samples.Therefore,presenting the overall appearance of the tufted carpet through 3D simulation can replace the proofing and comparison in the traditional carpet weaving process to a certain extent,and becomes one of the effective measures to improve the design efficiency of carpet products.In order to solve the problem of the lack of realism in the realization of threedimensional simulation of the appearance of multi-turn high-tufted carpets with complex spatial structures,this paper proposes a feasible three-dimensional modeling and simulation method of tufted carpets: the algorithm based on NURBS fitting The geometric model of tufted carpet is established,and texture details and lighting models are added to render the model to complete the three-dimensional simulation of multi-turn high-tufted carpet.Finally,the simulation results are compared with actual samples,which verifies the feasibility of the method.The contents of this article are as follows:(1)Based on the NURBS(non-uniform B-spline rational curve)fitting principle,a geometric model of a single loop is constructed.Considering that NURBS can flexibly design the curve shape by changing the position of the control points,NURBS can accurately express the centerline trend and cross-sectional shape of the carpet loop with complex spatial structure.Combined with the NURBS fitting principle,the coordinates of the loop centerline and the control points of the cross section were calculated to complete the construction of the carpet loop geometric model.(2)Simulation implementation of a single loop geometry model.On the basis of the built-up loop geometry model,the loop loop mechanical model was abstracted and the changes of the loop loop's own shape after being subjected to the surrounding loop compression force were analyzed.After the tufted carpet has undergone a series of processes,there is mutual compression between adjacent piles,which causes its shape to change.This paper uses the deflection of the space of the piles to simulate the deformation of the piles.On the other hand,the physical properties of the loops are simulated,including the mapping of surface texture images,the addition of lighting models,and material settings,to enhance the realism of the simulation.(3)Algorithm realization of overall simulation of multi-turn high-tufted carpet.By designing the overall tufted carpet simulation program flow,a program algorithm for tufted carpet simulation was developed: First,the parameter reading and saving module completed the reading and saving of the set tufting process parameters,and converted the set parameters into geometric models.Parameters;then use the NURBS fitting principle to build a pile loop geometric model and complete the deflection simulation of the space position of the pile loop to realize the construction of the overall geometric model of the tufted carpet.Finally,the overall appearance of the tufted carpet is rendered by the texture material rendering module,and the overall appearance of the tufted carpet is more realistically presented through three-dimensional simulation.Finally,the overall simulation of tufted carpet appearance was realized based on the PythonScript development environment,and the simulation results were obtained by testing the simulation program algorithm.Finally,the simulation effect is analyzed and displayed.By debugging the simulation algorithm program for the overall appearance of tufted carpets,the tufted carpets with various flower patterns and loop height changes under different yarn arrangements are realistically simulated.The comparison between the simulation effect and the actual carpet samples verifies the feasibility of the three-dimensional simulation method for the appearance of tufted carpets in this paper.By comparing the simulation efficiency with the proofing efficiency of existing proofing machines,this method is more convenient to implement.
