Research On The Potential Of Natural Gas Trade Between China And Russia Under The Background Of Energy Structure Adjustment

Energy resources as the driving force of economic development,the development of relevant industries affect the economy as a whole is self-evident,as energy supply and demand contradiction is highlighted increasingly,China's energy structure transformation is imperative: on the one hand,mainly coal and oil polluting energy intensive energy consumption structure has been at odds with the requirement of environmental sustainable development,on the other hand,although new energy development technology continues to make breakthroughs,it is still uncertain whether it can be put into large-scale commercial use.Therefore,it is the best choice to seek a clean and low-pollution energy from traditional energy sources to promote economic development,while natural gas is the best choice to achieve the transformation of China's energy structure.Russia is rich in oil and natural gas resources,and its annual output of natural gas accounts for about 40% of its total energy production.The cooperation between China and Russia in oil,mineral resources and other fields has yielded fruitful results,but the cooperation in natural gas has been developing slowly.The US shale gas revolution redefining the notion of the international energy,make Russia's international energy position is no longer secure,Ukraine and the United States through the crisis of Russia has launched a series of sanctions,make Russia's energy output channel to Europe stopped in traffic,in this case,comprehensive energy transformation of demand in China and Russia's energy development dilemma,strengthen the natural gas cooperation between the two countries is of great importance both for the two sides.This paper to carry out the analysis from qualitative level,from the optimization of energy structure and energy trade between China and Russia to comb the literature,summarizes the relevant research results,and to select the development of China's energy structure adjustment and Russia's energy resources as the research background,with natural gas potential for trade between China and Russia as the research object,and based on the related concept definition,study related international trade theory with China-Russia energy combined with the actual,explores the theoretical basis for deeper trade between the twocountries.Secondly,from a quantitative perspective,based on the comparison of energy consumption structure and energy production structure between China and Russia,based on the current favorable conditions for natural gas trade between the two countries,it is concluded from the practical perspective that the two countries have great trade potential in the field of natural gas.In order to make the article demonstrate more precise and reliable,in terms of data measuring,adopts the revealed comparative advantage index and trade complementarity index to measure gas fields between China and Russia does exist the possibility of expanding trade,in order to further illustrate the potential of natural gas trade between the two countries size,and then uses the extended gravity model to carry on the empirical analysis.According to the United Nations commodity trade statistics database in the calendar year Chinese imports of natural gas trade from all over the world rankings,and considering the data availability and the results of comparative and comprehensive selection before 14 trading partners as the research object,the selection of samples of 2012-2017 annual data,using Stata software to fitting model,through the comparative analysis of the core factors that affect gas imports,to analyze the development potential of gas trade between China and Russia.The results show that the natural gas trade between China and Russia is of potential pioneering type.Finally,based on the actual trade situation of the two countries,this paper explores the existing problems and causes of natural gas trade between China and Russia,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the two countries to give full play to the potential of natural gas trade in the future.
