Most of traditional aromatic oil uses the extracted oil from lubricating oil refining as raw material,and the processing modes of lubricating oil have changed from extraction to hydrogenation,which leads to the decrease of output of extracted oil.Therefore,the raw material of rubber oil needs a new source.FCC diesel oil is one of main by-product,which is large in quantity and deteriorated quality.It is rich in aromatic hydrocarbons,and most of the aromatic hydrocarbons in diesel fuel are mono and bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.The ideal environment-friendly rubber oil component is long-chain monocyclic or bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.Using FCC diesel oil as raw material,the aromatic alkylation of FCC diesel oil can make the monocyclic or bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons grow into long chain single ring or bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons,which is the ideal components of environmental-friendly rubber oil.In this paper,naphthalene is used as the model compound of FCC diesel oil.Two kinds of catalysts for the alkylation of aromatic hydrocarbons are mainly explored:AlCl3 and ionic liquids.Ionic liquid is a new type of environmental friendly catalyst.In this paper,the catalytic performance of ionic liquid as a catalyst for alkylation reaction is preliminarily investigated.Three kinds of acidic ionic liquids:[Bmim][AlCl3Br],[Bmim][HSO4]and[CPL][HSO4]are prepared.The Electrochemical properties and thermal stability of these catalysts are characterized.And the effects of different reaction conditions on the catalytic alkylation are investigated.The results show that the alkylation reaction can not be catalyzed by Bronsted acid ionic liquid and the catalytic performance of Lewis acid ionic liquid is much better.And Lewis acid ionic liquid can be reused.The temperature is the main influencing factor.AlCl3 is a traditional alkylation catalyst.The catalytic performance of AlCl3 as an alkylation catalyst has been explored initially.The results show that the conversion of olefin is100%and the yield of alkyl naphthalene is more than 80%when reactions are catalyzed by AlCl3 and the naphthalene/olefin molecular ratio is 1.1:1.The catalyst has good catalytic performance.It is helpful to catalyze the alkylation of naphthalene when increasing reaction temperature and the amount of catalyst,but too high temperature and amount of catalyst will increase the side reaction of alkylation.Longer reaction time than 1hr has little effect on alkylation reaction.Compared with ionic liquids,AlCl3 as a catalyst may produce waste water,but its catalytic performance is better than the ionic liquid catalysts.So,AlCl3 is selected as a catalyst for catalytic diesel alkylation through synthetical consideration.On the basis of this study,we investigate the alkylation reaction conditions of FCC diesel oil and dodecene.The optimal conditions of alkylation reaction is that the reaction temperature is 80°C,the reaction time is 1h,the dosage of catalyst is 15%,the weight proportion of diesel to olefin is 2:1 and?-hexadecylene as the olefin.Under the optimal condition,we can get environment-friendly rubber oil which has a yield of 47.6%,28.6%of CA value and 3.1%of PCA.The results show that the environment-friendly rubber oil obtained by the synthetic method can meet the environmental requirements of the European Union and has higher aromatic carbon content.
