There will be a large amount of converter off-gas produced in the process of top blowing oxygen converter steelmaking,the main component is CO,.However,in the process of traditional unorganized converter off-gas release and combustion,it will often appear CO difficult to burn out,NOx excessive discharge and other phenomena.In view of the emergence of this problem,it is of great practical significance to study the efficient and clean combustion mechanism of converter off-gas,which is in line with the requirements of energy saving and emission reduction in the current industrial science development in China.Based on numerical simulation and experiment,the combustion efficiency of converter off-gas and the emission concentration of pollutant NOx were studied.The detailed chemical reaction mechanism and turbulence model are applied to simulate the influence of chemical reaction dynamics in CO combustion process.The boundary conditions of unsteady converter off-gas with time are realized by using Fluent self-compiled UDF in numerical simulation technology.Finally,the efficient and clean combustion process of converter off-gas is analyzed experimentally the accuracy of the numerical simulation calculation for the verification of the concentration of medium flue gas components.The results showed that the average combustion efficiency was 93.14% and96.35%,and the maximum emission concentration of NOx was 64.59 mg/Nm3 and3.79 respectively.Carbon monoxide combustion efficiency reached 99.5%,relative error was 6.83%,NOx emission concentration was less than 45.49 mg/Nm3..This paper verifies the feasibility of high efficiency and clean combustion of converter off-gas by graded burner,effectively improves CO combustion efficiency and reduces NO.x emission concentration,it is also verified that the water vapor concentration in the air is the main factor affecting the chemical reaction kinetics of CO high efficiency combustion,and the numerical simulation has a high consistency with the experimental results.The research of the subject has high practical value and practical significance,and provides engineering guidance reference for the realization of high efficiency and clean combustion of converter,which has certain scientific significance.
