Coal Gangue is a kind of black-gray solid waste which coexists with coal during coal mining.According to statistics,China's coal mining enterprises discharge about 380 million tons of coal gangue every year.The Coal Gangue Dump not only occupies a large amount of land,but also is prone to spontaneous combustion.The harmful gas and dust particles formed after weathering seriously affect the surrounding atmospheric environment and ecological environment,it causes soil acidification,crops and trees to wither and decline.At the same time,debris flow and landslide may be formed in the gangue pile,which will bring about hidden danger to the life of the surrounding residents.Taking the gangue dump of No.3 Coal Mine of Yangmei group as the research object,the engineering geological conditions,the composition,the temperature and the cause of spontaneous combustion in the gangue dump area are found out by means of investigation,experiment and survey,the influence of Gangue dump on geological environment and ecological environment is analyzed and studied.On the basis of temperature zoning,the fire-extinguishing methods and the application of fire-extinguishing materials in different temperature zones are studied and designed,at the same time,the measures of slope,road,drainage and virescence are designed according to the existing problems,and the hazards of geological and ecological environment are eliminated completely.It provides a case and reference for the geological environment control of the old gangue pile,especially the spontaneous combustion gangue pile.The main achievements of this research are as follows:(1)By means of collecting data and laboratory tests,the engineering geological conditions,the composition of Gangue and the cause of spontaneous combustion in the waste dump area are analyzed and studied;(2)Through the research on the present situation of the Gangue Dump,the influence of the gangue dump on the geology and the natural environment is found out,it is mainly shown in debris flow,explosion collapse and other geological disasters,as well as the destruction of air,land,water,landscape and so on;(3)Through on-site investigation of the density,temperature and gas of the gangue dump,the temperature zones of the Gangue Dump are divided.According to different temperature zones,the application of fire-extinguishing methods and fire-extinguishing materials in this geological environment treatment is studied;(4)Through software calculation and analysis,it is systematically designed that the Gangue Hill slope should adopt the step-by-step slope stagger method,as well as drainage,greening,road and other control measures,all kinds of hazards of geological and ecological environment in Gangue Dump have been completely solved.
