Microbubble is an effective method to improve the flotation efficiency of fine-grained minerals.Jet foaming is one of the main methods of microbubble manufacturing. The chemical nature of the solution in the jet process has important influence on the structural characteristics?Such as bubble size, shape, ascending speed, movement track, etc.?of the generated bubbles.Surfactant is a commonly used flotation foaming agent, which has an important influence on the formation of bubbles and their structural characteristics;in addition, the flotation slurry system always contains a certain amount of inorganic salt cations, which has also a certain impact on the stablility of the flotation foam, but at present, there is little research on the manufacturing process of jet microbubbles under the action of surfactants and inorganic salts. Therefore, the paper proposes a research idea of using surfactants and inorganic salts to synergistically enhance the manufacture of jet microbubbles.Through the analysis of the properties of the microbubble group in the manufacturing process of jet microbubble in different liquid chemistry gas-liquid two-phase systems, the synergistic effect of surfactants and inorganic salts on jet microbubble manufacturing was explored to provide data support for the regulation of flotation bubble structure. The main research contents and conclusions of the paper are as follows:?1?The surface tension and viscosity of the solution chemical system under the action of surfactants and inorganic salts were studied. The results showed that surfactants and inorganic salts have little effect on the viscosity of the solution system, and the effect on the change of surface tension is reversed. The surfactant reduced the surface tension of solution to varying degrees until stable, and the stability of surfactants influencing surface tension follows the following order:SDS>CTAB>PEG.The experimental results show that the CMC of the SDS,CTAB and PEG solution with stable surface tension is 300mg/L,300mg/L,and 200mg/L,respectively.Adding inorganic salt alone increases the surface tension of the solution, but after compounding with the surfactant, the surface tension of the synergistic solution system is further reduced until it is stable.?2?The effects of typical surfactants and inorganic salts on the foam performance of solution systems were studied. It can be seen that the inorganic salts and surfactants can enhance the foaming performance of the liquid phase when added separately. The enhancement effect of the surfactant is remarkable, and the enhancement effect follows the order:SDS>CTAB>PEG,and the foam stability and foaming ability of the solution system reach the strongest when the concentration is CMC.The order of the enhancement effect of inorganic salts is Al Cl3>Ca Cl2>Na Cl,and it increases with increasing concentration. The experiment by compounding surfactant and inorganic salt shows the foam stability of the synergistic system of inorganic salts and ionic surfactants?SDS,CTAB?is significantly enhanced, and the improvement effect tend to be weaker after synergy with non-ionic PEG.In the synergistic system, the order of the inorganic salt stabilizing effect on the synergistic foam is Al3+>Ca2+>Na+.The foam stability of the surfactant and inorganic salt synergistic system has an inflection point with the change of the inorganic salt concentration. The concentration of the inorganic salt at the inflection point corresponds to the concentration of the inorganic salt when the surface tension in the synergistic system reaches stability, indicating that surface tension is the main factor affecting the foam stability.?3?The effect of surfactants and inorganic salts on the production process of jet microbubbles was studied. It was found that the inorganic salts and surfactants promoted the formation of bubbles and enhanced the regulation of the size distribution and deformation of the bubble group. The strength of the single action effect is consistent with the regulation of foam performance. There is a critical merger concentration CCC in the inorganic salt solution system, and its effect of reducing bubble size and aspect ratio reaches stable. The influence of the combination of surfactant and inorganic salt on the manufacturing process of jet microbubbles was further studied. It can be seen that the enhancement effect of the synergistic system of PEG and inorganic salt on the manufacture of microbubbles increases with the increase of ion valence. The synergistic effects of the synergistic system of SDS,CTAB and inorganic salt on microbubble production are as follows:the synergistic effect of the surfactant and the Ca Cl2 system is stronger than that of the Na Cl system, and after synergy with Al Cl3,the proportion of bubbles of 0?50?m decreases, the average size and aspect ratio of bubbles are slightly increased compared with the system of surfactant and Ca Cl2.When the surfactant concentration keeps constant, changing the inorganic salt concentration reveals that there is an inflection point that minimizes the bubble size and aspect ratio in the synergistic system.Continue to increase the inorganic salt concentration, the proportion of medium bubble size increases, and the average diameter and degree of deformation increase. In addition, the working parameters of the jet process also affect the properties of bubbles. The increase of the jet pressure can reduce the size and aspect ratio of the bubbles. The increase of the inspiratory volume leads to an increase in the size and aspect ratio of the bubbles. This paper contains 62 figures,8 tables and 108 references.
