In the background of PBX explosive in warhead of underwater weapon,this paper research the influence of bond system on energy release of underwater explosion of PBX.As an important part of PBX,binders have a great effection on mechanical properties,safety performance and energy characteristics of explosive.In view of the disadvantage of energy shortage of HTPB binders which is widely used,this paper research on two energetic binders with different types through theoretical and experimental way.The specific research contents are as follows:First of all,energy output of underwater explosion was researched.The propagation law of the shock wave and the bubble pulsation of underwater explosion are presented.Then the method of calculating the structure of energy output of underwater explosion is optimized on the basis of previous research.Whose precision is higher and the calculation process is simplified.Second,the composition of the structure of PBX was determined by the comparative research on energy of different energy and decomposition performance.Then the formulation of three different PBX were designed.By testing viscosity and hardness of PBX,the content of bindes were determined.The detonation parameters of the PBX with different solid contents were calculated by using the accelerating ability as the objective function,and the aluminum powder content was determined by the maximum accelerating ability.The content of RDX was determined in the range of detonation velocity and detonation pressure,and the formulation of PBX explosives was determined according to the characteristics of charge in warhead.The detonation parameters and the energy output structure of the three PBX were comparative researched.The energetic bond system has a great effect on the improvement of shock wave pressure and energy of underwater explosion.However,the limitation of the performance and mechanical properties of the energetic bonding system reduces the solid content of PBX.At the same time the increase of energetic bindersresults in a thicker coating of the aluminum powder which influence the reaction rate of aluminum powder.On the other hand,the use of energetic binders has increased the denotion vocility and pressure which have an further influence on the secondary reaction of aluminum.These factors lead to a lower bubble energy of PBX with energetic bonding system than HTPB.In a way,the total energy of three PBX with HTPB,GAP,TEGDN bonding system reach 2.09,1.93,1.99 TNT equivalent,respectivily.
