As styrene is an important production and daily necessities,the demand for styrene in practical projects is increasing.At present,in practical engineering,ethylbenzene is processed into styrene by negative pressure dehydrogenation,so ethylbenzene is not only the basic consumable for other macromolecule products,but also the main raw material for chemical plants.Considering the savings of raw petroleum,and for the purpose of improving its utilization rate,the process of producing ethylbenzene from dry gas was designed and optimized in this paper.In this paper,ethylbenzene is prepared from ethylene-containing gases and benzene monomers produced from crude oil by petroleum refineries.Through theoretical analysis,the production cost of ethylbenzene is lower than that of traditional ethylene products,which can increase the competitiveness of the factory and enhance the profits of the factory.In this paper,a 130,000 tons/year ethylbenzene production plant in service is taken as the research object,and the project is redesigned by using the relatively mature dry gas ethylbenzene production process kit.The main work is as follows.(1)For pyrolysis of petroleum,hydrogen sulfide content in ethylene gas will be higher if the quality of petroleum is not good and contains more impurities.In this paper,the purpose of reducing hydrogen sulfide is achieved by washing the dry gas from oil.Washing dry gas can not only remove sulfides,but also reduce the content of methyl diethanolamine,an impurity in dry gas.(2)The purity of ethylbenzene is not 100% but contains a certain amount of xylene.However,the purity of ethylbenzene in the production of styrene with ethylbenzene is highly demanded.In order to increase the competitiveness of the products and reduce the production cost and energy consumption,the heat exchange process in the dry gas ethylbenzene production process is reformed in this paper.The reformed production process not only reduces the energy consumption compared with the original production process,but also improves the purity of ethylbenzene to meet the current national quality requirements for high-grade ethylbenzene.(3)The whole process of ethylbenzene production from dry gas designed in this paper was simulated by using the method of simulation calculation.From the simulation results,it can be seen that 85% of the raw materials can be converted into final products,and the final ethylbenzene has a high purity,and the energy consumption is only 125.36 kg oil/t.
