2,4-dinitroanisole(DNAN)is a new casting explosive carrier.Compared with Trinitrotoluene(TNT),it has the advantage of low sensitivity,high purity,no oil leakage,low viscosity and low shrinkage.Thus DNAN has a broad application prospect.In order to develop and popularize DNAN-based explosive casting technology,this paper focuses on the improvement of DNAN based casting explosive technology system.Influencing factors of detonation critical diameter of DNAN based melt-cast explosive are studied by using continuous wire test and Autodyn numerical simulation.Ignition and growth model was established by Fortran JWL calculation program and one-dimensional Lagrange analysis experiments with numerical simulation.Based on this model,this paper has studied the influencing factors on the critical diameter of DNAN based melt-cast explosive,including RDX size and quality,booster diameter,projectile shell material and thickness.The results indicate that the explosive containing fine RDX has the smallest critical diameter;the critical diameter of explosive containing high quality RDX is larger than ordinary RDX;When the diameter of JH-2 booster is at the range of 20 ~ 60 mm,it has no effect on the critical diameter of DNAN-based explosive whose solid content is more than 70%.When the material of shell is certain,the critical diameter increases with the increase of the thickness.When the thickness of the confinement is constant,the critical diameter of the charge decreases as.the wave impedance of the shell increases.The influence of composition,content and particle morphology on critical diameter of DNAN based melt-cast explosive has been measured by continuous wire method The results indicated that the critical diameter of the explosive decreases with the increase of aluminum content;the critical diameter of explosive become smaller as grain size of Al reduced;coarse RDX has a larger critical diameter than fine RDX;the critical diameter of explosive containing high quality RDX is larger than common RDX;the critical diameter of DNAN based melt-cast explosive is larger than TNT.The numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the continuous wire experimental data.It demonstrates that the ignition and growth model established by Fortran JWL analysis and one dimensional Lagrange analysis experiment can predict the growth process of explosive ignition and detonation propagation.The continuous wire method simplified the test method of critical diameter of explosive,improved test precision.It provides a more precise method for the critical diameter of military explosive test and has important engineering application value.
