At present,China's economy has maintained steady growth and is turning to a stage of high-quality development, the Yangtze River Economic Belt is important to lead the high-quality development of the national economy, however,it faces an increasingly tight resource shortage and environmental pressure. The green cycle and low-carbon development are imminent. The development of circular economy is the basic follow-up of the implementation of the “ecological priority, green development” strategy, which helps to promote the coordinated development of the economy and the environment, and changes the environmental pressure to accelerate the promotion of high-quality economic development. As an important support of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,Urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are facing the dual pressures of economic development and environmental protection.Vigorously developing a circular economy will help accelerate the realization of the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and demonstrate the development of the national circular economy. This paper analyzes the development foundation, current situation and typical development mode of circular economy of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system of circular economy.According to the AHP-entropy method comprehensive evaluation model, the development level of circular economy of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in 2010-2016 is comprehensively measured and analyzed, and the regression model is built on the basis of the above analysis to further analyze the main factors affecting the development of circular economy of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. The main conclusions include:(1)The development basis and conditions of the circular economy of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River has been accelerated, the utilization level of resources has been improved, and inter-regional circular economy cooperation has appeared initially, but there are still constraints some limiting factors, such as the overall utilization level of resources, unreasonable industrial structure, and imperfect regional economic system construction.(2)It is known that the development model of circular economy has commonalities at the municipal, park, and enterprise levels, that is,the development of circular economy requires economic and technological support;it also has its own characteristics. That is to say,the development of circular economy in each city needs to be adapted to local conditions. It is necessary to select and adapt the mode according to the resources, technology and talents of the region, and promote and develop.(3)The development level of circular economy of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River has been steadily increasing in recent years. The development level of regional circular economy among different cities is quite different. The main spatial distribution characteristics are that the cities with higher development level of circular economy are mainly concentrated in the western part of urban agglomerations, and as the provincial capital,Nanchang is not obvious.(4)Government promotion, science and technology support, and financial support have a significant positive effect on the development of circular economy.Traditional high-energy-consuming industries will hinder the development of circular economy. At present, the impact of resources and environmental factors on circular economy is not significant.
