With the rapid development of marine oil and gas exploitation, the safety of offshore platforms has received increasing attention from people.Compared with the countries with strong marine technologies, such as Europe and the United States, there are still gaps in the design and construction of offshore platforms in China, especially in the field of emergency evacuation control technology for support platforms. At present, domestic researches on evacuation behavior and psychological response of the people on offshore platforms are still rare.Usually, researchers directly refer to relevant standards and accident cases,or obtain personnel characteristics by conducting smallscale evacuation drills in land buildings.Based on this, numerical simulation studies on the evacuation process are carried out, which cannot guarantee the accuracy and credibility of the obtained analytical results. Therefore,it is very important to carry out the data collection and analysis of the personnel evacuation behavior on the offshore platform. This paper studies the evacuation performance of the support platform by conducting questionnaire survey, evacuation test and numerical simulation. The main research contents and findings are as follows.1.Evacuation test on a support platform is carried out and automatic acquisition of information equipment is employed to obtain data such as personnel speed and evacuation time in the test. The test data is used to calibrate personnel speed in the numerical simulation model.Based on the verification of the accuracy of the evacuation simulation results, the regularity of people movement in evacuation is carried out.Meanwhile, the questionnaire surveys before and after the evacuation test are conducted to obtain three types of real data, that is,basic personnel characteristics, personnel psychological reaction and personnel evacuation behavior.Statistical software SPSS is employed to analyze the effect of basic characteristics of personnel on people's psychological reaction and evacuation behavior in the fire situation. Some statistical characteristics are obtained, which also have reference significance for other emergencies.2.Based on the simplified analysis method and advanced analysis method in the evacuation analysis guide MSC.1/Circ.1533,an evacuation assessment of a standard support platform is carried out.Comparison of the calculated results of the two methods shows that there exist some differences in personnel modeling methods, calculation of personnel speed in the evacuation, personnel response duration and identification of significant congestion regions.3.The effects of evacuation paths and personnel speeds on the evacuation process are quantitatively studied by using the evacuation simulation software Exodus. The results show that reasonable and effective guidance and full use of evacuation resources can effectively reduce the congestion regions and time, and improve the evacuation efficiency in the process of emergency evacuation.
