The intelligent manufacturing technology has promoted the transformation of manufacturing industry,meanwhile,diversified and personalized market demand has created favorable conditions for the development of 3D printing technology.The advantages of low investment and high efficiency of welding-based 3D printing,make it become one of the most popular research subjects in intelligent manufacturing.In order to integrating information and advanced manufacturing technologies efficiently,intelligent manufacturing increasingly depends on computer information system.The digitization of the 3D welding printing process can overcome its shorts caused by manual operation and poor forming precision.In this paper,a computer simulation technology of 3D welding printing based on OpenGL is deeply studied.A welding printing experiment based on MIG/MAG is implemented by 3D welding printing system experimental platform with ABB industrial robot IRB2600 ID and CMT Advcnced 4000 digital welding machine;According to the experiment result,a mathematical model between welding process parameters and weld channel forming measurement was established;The other one aims at the demand of digitization of printing process,by using Bezier curve to fit the cross-section contour of weld channel and making the mapping relationship between the size of single layer weld channel and the control point,and the calculation problem of welding channel fusion ratio is solved by planar polygon intersection algorithm.The dynamic simulation of welding printing process is carried out by OpenGL technology,realizing the optimization of 3D welding printing process based on MIG/MAG.In this paper,computer simulation technology is applied to 3D welding printing;and by using OpenGL graphics technology on the platform of Visual Studio 2015,a computer simulation technology of 3D welding printing based on OpenGL is developed;the feasibility of simulation is verified by a practical printing test.The 3D welding printing simulation system proposed in this paper can effectively guide the digital design of 3D welding printing,improve the printing accuracy and production efficiency,and have important engineering value.
